OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Gronk is back but this piece of news is less optimistic:

I feel sorry for whoever hires Leftwich as a head coach

Why was everyone pumping up Adam Gase circa 2013? He was “a bright young coordinator” while Leftwich is supposedly some puppet. Eric Bienemy? Josh McDaniels? Leftwich played QB and knows the game well…players seem to like him. Whatever he’s doing, he‘s not getting in the way.

As a head coach, it would depend on the roster and especially the QB. If the roster sucks, every coach sucks. If he took over a good team/QB, I see no reason why he’d fail more than others. I still think Bowles is an excellent head coaching candidate; he handled the NY media well and clearly has natural leadership skills. But which coach would win with Mark Sanchez and Geno Smith? After he left, we saw rock bottom was actually a few miles below what it appeared to be.

McVay got a chance after one good season and he's been great. It can happen for sure but it's rare.

So AB is ANOTHER Bucs play who has an injury that doesn’t seem that bad and might be day to day only to suddenly be on life support. The hell are they doing.

JJ Watt out for the season. Big blow to that Cards defense.

Looking at Vegas odds, the Bucs are probably better off with the Packers winning. The Cardinals are quite close for #1 seed (Bucs +175, Cardinals +225.) The Packers have a brutal second half schedule and are unlikely to win 14+ games.

We can also root for a tie! The Cards will drop a couple games along the way

I think you'd rather go in to Arizona in the playoffs than a colder city like GB but I agree that GB winning would be the best outcome.

Rodgers choke factor is big though.
Yes this is true. Lets see what he does tonight. This is a game with Adams out that no one would blink at if it was Brady and he'd be expected to win. Maybe Rodgers will surprise us and find a way to win.
