If the Pats trade for Fuller, the ultimately will have saved about $2-3 million downgrading from Gilmore to Fuller who can’t even make the starting line up in Denver. Pretty shortsighted.

Just a quick perusal of the Broncos message board, and what I came away with is that Fuller is trash.

The Pats wins have all come against rookie QBs on very bad teams. Sure they had shots to win every game, but they don’t have enough to compete this year. I would trade away anyone they can and stockpile the picks.

let’s remember that the Pats have zero shot at any comp picks this year, they are going to end up @ 6 wins. So I would trade away the veterans for picks to contenders, and yes, see what you can get for JC.

I doubt that BB wants to play JC what he is going to command, so they might as well try and get something for him.

I don't anticipate the Patriots making the "win-now" moves this season, either in terms of cap room or draft picks. It's as good of time as any to grab a disappointing second or third year player at a sizable discount relative to their draft position, though.

I think they win 9-10 games, they're not contenders so I wouldn't give up much but if BB can find a bargain out there, and he has in the past I'm all for that.

Pointless? He wasn’t a home run signing but with Gilmore gone, Jones done for the season, JoJuan would prob be starting at this point with with the depth being so crappy.

Im thankful he’s on the roster and available to play.

oh please 4/24 is cheap. He's not going to go out and single-man a top receiver - he's out of position on the outside. He's going to replace McCourty.

Wonder if Shawn Wade gets back in practice this week, though I can't see how he's ready for the show yet.

Gilmore wasn't on the field this week. And yes, I would love to have him. But Mills is a good signing - he'll look bad when he's not playing to his strengths, which he wasn't with the injuries, but he's been very good this year for that money. he'll only get better with more experience in the system and 6 million is nothing for a starting corner/safety.
