Sad to see BB's legacy ripped apart like this

If Bill's style does not start producing wins, players will burn out on it as well. The Patriot way only makes sense when you win.

and yet players still love him, players still want to come here and play for him......it's pretty much the crappy media and jaded fans that are ready to run him out of town.......

They are 2-4. Why does nobody talk about why they could have lost? Anyway. I am pretty sure all teams played during the covid year not just the pats. The pats won for 20 years, in that time they had roster turnover a lot. Why does roster turnover mean losing season now? Every game is a potential loss or a potential win. Good teams win, bad teams dont. The cowboys did everything they possibly could to hand that game to the pats and the pats lost, that is not something that would have happened before.
Only 3 times before. Pats were 128-3 when leading with 2 minutes left at HOME. Now they're 128-4! That's on the coaches.

Come on now. Brady changed the whole culture of that organization. They were perennial losers. They weren’t winning squat without Brady, and it was also Brady who made the change from the Tampa offensive system early in the season. Leftwhich and Arians were there for the ride. It was also Brady who brought Gronk and Brown to the team. He wasn’t the sole reason they won but he was the biggest reason.
Yeah, I mean...wow. I thought he was kidding. I would bet not many would have even known Leftwhich was the OC there. lol Now he is getting the talk of next head coach predictions. lol. Brady has made more OC's money than anyone else.

Again....Players want two things. Money and to win, Pats do not really do the money part, but they had the winning, when that stops, the players stop coming.

that roster was loaded for that run.......brady may have put them over the edge, but that was a championship cailber team ready to roll......that team was built to win last year and this year

You said they had cap issues, not me.
Where/when did I say to you the 2019 or 2021 team had/has cap issues?

I just wonder why they never did before
Before when? There were a few years in the 2010s they were up against the cap. Other years like 2017 they had a bunch of money to spend.

...now all of the sudden they have cap issues player issues, etc etc. All teams play under a cap, all have the same money. If you have cap issues, thats on the person who makes the decisions.
I'm confused. Who said they have cap issues? Barring any changes they are projected to have $23m in space in 2022 and $112m in space in 2023. I'm pretty confident 2022 will be closer to $40m in space.

All with Mac still on a rookie deal....

Yeah the same roster that was so loaded they didnt have a winning record. lol How can a team that has not won a playoff game in 18 years, or hell not even made the playoffs in 11 years be championship caliber? Dude, this is silly. Freaking Evens didnt even know they had a ceremony after the NFC title game. LMAO

I'm so thankful that I read your post..it added so much to my day....keep contributing wonderfully to this forum with your knowledge and insights and keep sharing family information.
Lol. Nice.

The post I responded to said cap issues...you jumped in, thats not really my fault.

The fact they're even in games like these tells you all you need to know about Belichick as a coach. Pretend for a moment he wasn't the GM, and the view with what he's doing with a team like this would be viewed differently. But the fact he is has unfortunately caused some of the problems, although I do feel the draft was a nice shift and believe they made some good moves there to at least set them up a little better moving forward.

But he's made some gambles that haven't paid off this season, with Trent Brown being the key one given the domino effect on the offensive line. If Jones had time to throw and the line could open up holes like they did last year, we'd probably be looking at things a little differently. Then again, losing James White is killing them, which is quietly a bigger issue on offense than we're probably realizing since they don't have him for defenses to have to account for.

Meanwhile, we're not seeing the production yet by Nelson Agholor and Jonnu Smith hasn't been consistent. Those two things are probably the most puzzling, although with Smith, I feel like they need to do a little more to get him out in space. These perimeter throws need to go, guys are getting blown up everytime they throw them and they're obviously either telegraphing them or something because I can't get over how well-defended they've been.

That being said, against a team like Dallas given all these deficiencies, they were still within a couple minutes of winning a game they had no business winning. That starts with the coaching staff and that's been a hallmark of Belichick since he's been here. It's just unfortunate that their personnel issues are handicapping that because they've squandered some pretty good efforts and game plans during a few of these losses.

Why does a post about some journalists crappy opinion turn into a "Bruce Arians won the super bowl, not the players."

Lots of insecure deflection going on in here, yikes.

so their roster last year was the exact same roster as the year before, with only the addition of TB12?

Yeah...except for the players brady brought in. lol Dude just stop. Same oline, same guys on defense, same receivers. All of the sudden they just got it? I mean the players all say it was Brady but hey what do they know.

Like the plan to kneel the ball at the half and punt in OT?

I don't get this take at all. I think most sports journalists consider guys like Harbaugh and Tomlin to be great coaches and they've had a few seriously bad seasons each. The GOAT coach is permitted a rocky period as he navigates post-GOAT QB. Like how do you even make that argument? “Oh, Bill didn’t immediately have a powerhouse team within 1 season of Brady leaving, he’s a failure”
What is hurting Bill is Brady won in year one without him and 5-1 this year while the Pats are 4 games below .500 since Brady left. It's that juxtaposition that is the impetus for these articles.

Fact is, and I am not even sure the worst brady hater out there would say different, Brady coming there is why they won the superbowl.

No no, Arians was why they won. lol It was just a coincidence that Tampa starting winning and the pats started losing at the very exact time Brady left the pats and went to the bucs. Nothing to do with him, all coaching.
