Mac Jones & the offense: Signs of improvement?

I think it's the opposite. This is a fantastic QB prospect, very smart, very accurate, getting crappy OLine play and bad oc coaching.

.

He's a turnover machine, I can't remember the last time Brady took a blindsided spear and fumbled a key possession. His INT was also his fault as he completely shanked a wide open receiver.

ok? Those are not good enough either. Jags have 1 win, pats have 2.

Although Herbert had better stats, how many wins did the Chargers have last year?

He wasn't a turnover machine his first 2 games ? Crappy coaching made the kid worse. Look at how Sam Bradford's career was ruined in 2011. Same oc now.....

I don't know what to tell you man, the information is in the stats, and the fact is he's been a turnover machine.

He's not a turnover machine. Maybe look up every other rookie QBs stats. He's actually playing better than Lawrence. You sound clueless.

Right. So your excuse for 7 touchdowns, 6 Interceptions and 3 fumbles in 6 games isn't that it's not bad, just that it could be worse? Distort your facts however you want, I really don't care.

Yea. I'm the clueless one.

Mac Jones' stats are remarkably similar to the 1st overall pick, Trevor Lawrence:

Mac: 1476 yards, 7 TDs, 6 INTs, 71.1% completion

Lawrence: 1465 yards, 7 TDs, 8 INTs, 61% completion

Wonder what Lawrence would look like with a real coach, say someone like Bill?

Byron Leftwich looks to be a much better OC. Why don't you tell me, if you can get past any bias you have, for why Leftwich isn't a much better HC prospect right now ???

.
I wouldn't want Leftwich here. He's awful Do you even watch Bucs games? With that much talent you'd think they'd be less predictable,or try to space the field. Brady is always throwing into coverage. They always run on first down.

Byron Leftwich is top of the HC lists. Bucs had a very innovative offense last year taking down Brees, Rodgers, Mahomes and a lot of creativity on the way to become World Champions. This season blowing the roof off multiple offensive metrics. 34 points per game and #1 passing in the league. Byron Leftwich looks phenomenal as an offensive coordinator right now.

.

As n example, with 2.26 and 1pt lead, we really should be able to run the ball in a 2-3 min offense. He doesnt have to throw those slants resulting in pick six. But he is being asked to because we cant impose at the LOS and run the ball to finish the game.
My exact thoughts. That could have been the end of it.

Every year there's a new hot shot. Doesn't mean a thing. He's got all the talent in the world and the offense is predictable. Todd Bowles on the other hand has always impressed me as a very good coach. If Brady had someone other than Arians/Leftwich designing the offense down there, they'd be giving 2007 a run for its money. Brady has more talent than ever before.

A nice compilation of all of Mac's throws from yesterday. Really, the only bad throws he made were the pick 6 to Diggs and the missed throw on 3rd and 3 in OT. I don't understand anyone who is complaining about the level of QB play. The tape tells us that Mac was under duress the whole game.

I know they are the most popular team in the Country. And have the most fans etc. But I'm not seeing Dallas as a SB threat.

Their pass defense blows and a team like Rams, Cards, Bucs, or GB (All with elite level QB's) will destroy that secondary in the postseason.

Not to mention the fact their coaching is worse than those other teams.
Wow, glass houses, dude.

I love how the Tommy Bradyites are trashing Mac...just because he's not Brady.
I know, how long do we have to do this for? Frankly, with Edelman this team is 5-1 now, but no one is crying over him. (and shouldn't be)

One good takeaway from the offense last night is that Mac is really getting into sync with his receivers. Two big throws last night, the TD to Henry and the long bomb to Bourne, the ball was in the air before both players were out of their breaks. Good sign.

Now if McDumb doesn't turtle anymore, I'm hoping to see more. The answer BB gave that they stopped running in 22 because they ran out of plays was total ********. When we were in 22, we were punching them in the mouth, and of course we went away from that.
People need to chill on this a little.

You are misunderstanding complaining or saying what it is. He is playing like a Qb that has played 6 career games, which means he is not making anything better. A great franchise Qb can take a team that is not great and make them great. He is not that yet, nor should he be, but that does offer in some of the reason the team struggles.

and nobody said this before 2019.

The Tuck game?
2010 Suggs in the playoffs?
The SB against the Eagles?
