Clearly we overpaid for mediocrity. We are paying 11 Million this year to Agholor. What can we do to get rid of this albatross of a contract and who would you target in the future to be Mac's number 1? Mac is a highly promising top notch young QB who needs a top flight WR he can rely on.

I mean it was pretty obvious this guy was Butter Fingers from Necessary Roughness.

Ziegler will look absolutely horrible as time goes on for his FA season. And the Harry, Wynn, Michel draft busts should hopefully result in the termination of any people left from John Carroll university in the front office and offensive staff.

What do you expect with rotating linemen? theyre making changes midgame based on performance. How can agalor go deep if the line cant hold up?

I think he's referring to the key drops.

I mean, if Agholor makes an easy catch, it's game over. New England wins.

I have no faith at this point. I don't think $11m is an exorbitant amount for a middling starting WR in today's NFL but this is not the guy for us (I also think his salary is pushed out to the future as this year he's making $7m).

So far he is not the outside wr we hoped for. I think he’s best in the slot (judging by his numbers in Philly where they used him in the slot over 50% of snaps). He’s not taking Meyers job so we can only hope he improves.

He’s a two-year albatross. He’s gotta improve right?

I've been b*tching about negativity in threads, so I really want to not be that guy and pile on. However. The drop in OT was a catch that a top flight, big game player makes. Edelman makes that play all day long.

If he doesn't pan out, he may be cut next year.

Consider he has a $15m cap hit next year but if he's cut, it's only $5m dead money (or a total of $12m for 1 year).
I’ll take the under. He sure can run though. On the TD to Henry he blew by the CB and was an easier target imo. Hopefully Jones works on the connection.

Edelman dropped a lot of passes.

I don’t have a big gripe with this signing, to be honest. I posted a screenshot in the Mac thread of a play where he’s open behind the defense and the ball comes in short. His specialty is big plays downfield which is not a priority for Jones thus far. He has adapted with inside routes and has been pretty reliable when thrown to.

Does anyone realize that Trent Brown costs $9-11M? J. Smith is 12.5M.

At worst, they got a pretty good receiver and paid a moderate premium, which you expect in free agency…he was expensive but they paid him closer to a top a #2 than a #1. That isn’t some monumental failure like Brown and Smith, two guys who shouldn‘t be on an NFL roster and whose measly production could be replaced immediately with draft picks.

It was just the timing of the drop and the relative ease of the play

He had a bad case of the drops while playing for the Eagles. Except in that February game...
