Who said he’s out, did I miss something?

Who's taking Sweet Feet's snaps? JJ?

I wonder if we're going to see Lawrence Guy get reduced snaps since he's been playing so poorly. I have loved Guy since he signed, but he's not been playing near the level he played at in the previous years with the team.

If that’s true....yikes!

No. Hell no. Fv&ck no.
I will not be shocked, but disappointed when I see Bolden trot out onto the field and stand next to Jones in shotgun.

I feel like he wanted something different from Bill and it led to him leaving. It could have just as easily led to Bill quitting.
I think by the time they were down to brass tacks, what he wanted was a loaded roster to max out what time he had left, and not to pay for it through his own discounts. He was tired of it by that point, I THINK (and how do we really "know" anything but where he ended up?)

Now, I do think that he had been in that position in the past and had sucked it up. I do think something started souring around the time of the Jimmy G unloading, though I wouldn't trust the Wickersham dramatization. Something happened to make it "snap." You ever been in a job and towing the line etc., believing what you're told to, figuring they pay you to... then one day you just go "**** this," tender your resignation, and consider them lucky they got a 2 week warning? I think he hit the super high paid elite athlete version of that. I don't think "**** this" is different whether you're making 20k or 20m. Maybe I'm wrong, I dunno. It sure isn't different for the amounts I have made, although they stopped short of that elusive seventh figure

I just ask you, how is Tom Brady going to play with a loaded roster in NE vs. what he has in Tampa? Not gonna happen. Could TFB stand that being the case? Sure, he had done so in the past many times. Did he want to tow that line? Might have, for the fans, for the adopted hometeam, whatever.... but didn't feel like going that way again.

So lure Mo Lewis out of retirement and let the Kyle Trask era begin. Maybe just Pollard.

And I'm on Team Put Senior In The Home Now, just sayin'.

PS also, Arians seems happy to trust Tom on when Tom should hang 'em up. I think the pressure kept being there in NE.

First, I seriously doubt Belichick brings the blitz especially after 20 years of watching Brady pick apart teams that blitz a lot against him. You don't beat Brady by blitzing him except in key situations. You blitz him and he has favorable match ups for his receivers and if you do not get to him, he will pick you apart. I doubt Belichick will have more than a half dozen or so blitzes tomorrow night. And that could be over estimating it.

Second, I still don't know how well the Bucs can even run the ball. They have been awful this year rushing for about 56 YPG and 3.5 YPC. Belichick will likely give up the run to take the ball out of Brady's hands. So he probably coach the players this week not to bite on the play action.

Third, I fully expect Belichick's strategy will be to take away Godwin or possibly Evans and force Brady to throw to his second and third reads. Granted Brady has a lot of players he can throw to. So he can potentially easily overcome the loss of his favorite target. But as I think someone already said, they will also try to take away his short and intermediate routes and force him to throw deep while trying to get pressure up the middle with four man rush. All this done with some disguised coverages and rushes obviously. And I think they would be willing to do that by giving up running yards. I think if the Bucs rush for a lot yards (120 plus yards) that aren't clock killing yards at the end of the game, I think the Pats have a realistic chance of winning.

If we had Gilmore, I'd say it would be easy to take away Godwin and Evans. But we don't. And Jackson is supposedly ailing. So, even taking away one is going to be require a team effort and STELLAR play from everyone in coverage.

That being said, Brady will be without his safety nets in Gronkowski and Bernard. He's also without 4th WR Scotty Miller who is on the IR. He still has 3 deep at WR (Godwin, Evans, Brown) as well as 2 very capable TEs in Brate and Howard as well as Fournette at RB.

The Patriots are catching a break with Pierre-Paul out. Also, both Suh and McLendon are supposedly ailing. This is the perfect game for the O-line to get it's act together. Though that may be tough since Wynn and Brown are both supposedly ailing.

I hope it's a good game. I want Winfield to get burned and Dugger to play outstanding.. Just so it sticks in the craw of a certain captain.

Watching the rerun of SB LI, Sweet Feet was so electric and dynamic. I know he's way older now but he's a huge loss.

Even with Gilmore, I wouldn’t say it would be easy to take one of them away, but certainly easier.

Tampa's Online is really good. I can't see us generating pressure with a 4 man front. I really don't know how we take away all those things in the pass game especially without Gilmore. Jackson on a bad knee vs Evans gives me nightmares. Whose on Godwin? Mills? Frightening. And then who are we using on AB? Jones? I actually like that match up I think out of the 3.
I am most interested to see if Brady will take the run. You know he wants to beat us bad so I have to think he looks to air it out.

You can generate pressure with four men by putting more than four men close to the line and disguising who will rush and who will drop into coverage and/or use delayed rushes. You might not be able to trick Brady with that stuff, but you could trick his o-line. There are a lot of ways to generate up the middle pressure with a four man rush even against the best o-lines.

Jackson is on the injury report. He isn’t out. At least not yet. Because the Pats are home, they don’t have to declare anyone out until tomorrow. If they were away, they would have to list a player out if they didn’t travel.

Jackson is questionable. He popped on the injury report yesterday. Since it was a walkthrough on Friday, I doubt it is too serious.

Arians left AZ when he felt he didnt want to rebuild .Retired. Then suddenly resurfaced when he thought the TB job might be available. He really isnt invested in long term team building in Tampa. He will retire again and do tv when the team goes south or in cap hell.
