KVN had a good 1st game. Was hurt last week and I didn't really notice him yesterday. He was in on a couple plays I think.

High is always a slow-starter. He's still rusty. Let's hope the rust is gone Sunday night.
Somebody put a chemical peel on that dude, I wish this game was later in the season

Put Jo Williams on Evans with help, JJ on AB, Jackson on Godwin. Duggar or Phillips on Gronk and man up. Hopefully Uche is back and get after Brady and see what happens.
Evans will smoke Slow Juan.

For you Gronkaneers scum, here's your boi Brady giving you permission to root for the Patriots.

Carry on.

I don't think it's as binary as media will characterize. I happen to think bb and brady are each the greatest. And Tom will and should get a standing ovation, probably the longest standing ovation any Pat has ever gotten. And it will probably be weird for Mac for a minute. But then the stadium will (mostly) be rooting for a Patriots victory.

With Gilmore out there will be 2+ route mismatches in the Bucs favor on... every single snap.

.

Belichick starved our GOAT quarterback of offensive talent and tried to trade his GOAT tight end for a lousy 4th just to be a spiteful prick. Belichick went from being Darth Hoodie to Douchface McGee.

He deserves every Legacy hit Tom’s Tampa success is smacking him in the face with.
If your referring to the Gronk trade with Detroit, it was Gronk and our 2nd for the lions 1st and 2nd.

JJ going to get toast and so would Jackson if we do that...only way to beat Brady is getting pressure and dropping everyone in coverage that's always been the way to beat him. Problem is you need pressure and right now we lacking in that department

I am about as team Bill as you are going to find on this board but I respect the hell out of Tom Brady the football player. Any other game I love seeing him throw for 400 yards and 4 TDs but this week I want him hitting the turf 10 times and throwing a back breaking game ending pick 6. Personally I see no problem with any patriot fan who feels similarly it’s possible to be both a patriot fan and wanting Brady to do well, any other week. At the end of the day though this is just an out of conference week 4 game. Whoever wins/loses it doesn’t change a single banner that’s been raised in Gillette or take away twenty years of dominance Bill AND Tom gave us. As football fans we are so spoiled and both of them have given us so much I can’t stand the back and forth who did more. 6 titles. 6! They gave us and there is no way there would have been that many without both of them.

Should be a good game and I am looking forward to the crazy chess match of who knows the other just that much better. Brady can be fooled you just have to work really really hard to do it, like that robber interception in the Atlanta Super Bowl. Pressure up the middle, which is hard to do consistently, is absolutely key so I hope Hightower can return to form and strategically get pressure on a blitz a couple of critical downs. Take away the middle of the field and the short bread and butter 1000 paper cuts Brady loves. I would rather see him hit 3-5 deep bombs and lose that way then seeing him converting 15 3rd downs and driving 6-8 mins at a time.

Brady will retire as a Buccaneer. No chance of coming back to NE on a one day contract. When that will be who knows? Could be 2 years from now, 4 years from now, or 40. Belichick messed up really bad and allowed his ego to get in the way. GOAT head coach regardless but he messed up. Why am I rehashing the same stuff as everyone else over the past 2 years? Because there's no other way to say the Pats will lose by 40+ points this week. Brady is treating this game like a Superbowl same with Gronk and AB. This is a revenge game for them. JC Jackson is about to lose millions of dollars in FA after this game.

With the energy the Buccaneers played with Sunday, and Bowels only playing his two big defensive tackles about 50% of snaps, it has me thinking they were already looking ahead to this game and that they want to kill the Patriots by 40 or 50 points if possible. If Gronk and Brown play I think Brady is going to try and target them as much as possible in the red zone. The loss of Gilmore will be felt this game.

it will be really fun to revisit these takes after the game...

How was Sunday's game vs the Rams any different for Tampa than the Cowboys game? In both games the offense did fine but their defense gave up 30+ points. When they played Dallas, were the Bucs already looking ahead to the NE game? The teams in the NFC that match up best with Tampa are Dallas, LAR, Arizona, and possibly GB. They have QBs and WRs who can expose the Bucs overrated defense. The Bucs' loss to the Rams had nothing to do with being lackluster but not having good enough personnel on defense.

We are going to kick Buc posterior up and down the field.

The Rams also beat the Bucs last year with Jared Goff as QB instead of Stafford. The Rams are a really good team. To say the only reason they could beat Tampa is because Tampa wasn't focused is a disservice to LA and elevating the Bucs to a kind of transcendent level of "No one can beat them if they actually try". They're REALLY good, and I expect the Pats to lose on Sunday, but let's not get silly.

I think Brady is trying to intimidate his old team here for sure. Something he would have never done as a Patriot but it is what it is. Makes me think if Brady has his way this could be a demolition for the history books on Sunday night. Let's hope Mac and the offense are a lot better than they were last week and BB lives up to his reputation as GOAT coach and defensive genius and works his magic for this one.

If I was Pats coach I'd throw the kitchen sink at them. All the tricks in the book. Onside kicks, fake punts, trick plays, etc.

I think it's a misleading headline. Brady's entire quote:

“I know what this team’s all about. I’ve sat in that meeting room, I’ve heard the scouting reports. I know exactly what they’re going to attempt to do to us and I know it’s going to be a challenge for our team,” he said.

He's got more leeway there for sure, but it's not like we never saw bits of this while he was here. He was pretty self assured going into Super Bowl 42, mocking Burress' 21-17 prediction saying, "We're only gonna score 17 points? Is Plax gonna play defense?" He also had the line a few years back (paraphrasing) "I've got all the answers to the test now." He's confident, and he should be. Also, I think the WORLD knows what the Patriots are going to try to do to Tom Brady. It's just a question of can they actually do it consistently enough for 60 minutes. I know HOW to run a marathon, but I'd collapse before I reached the finish line.

September 30th 2001 everyone expected a blow out win for the Colts. We all know what happened and it can happen again.

I feel like it's a bit of a trap for the Patriots to try every crazy thing they can think of to beat the Bucs when they're still struggling with the fundamentals. Chasing long shots all game is a great way to get blown out of the building. Even in the 28-3 comeback Belichick really didn't do much of that outside 1 onside kick attempt late in the 3rd and a double pass attempt, and that was literally a historically desperate game situation.

If it's late in the game and they're within striking distance of a win, sure, maybe do something "crazy" to try to swing a win. But if you're trying fake punts and on side kicks in the first half at a point in the season where you're still struggling with basic kick coverage and run blocking that's a great way to find yourself on the wrong end of a 14 point swing. Those kind of reaches are more likely to turn a close game into a blowout loss than anything.

More than anything the Patriots need to clean up their fundamentals to compete with ANYBODY. Minimize penalties, keep the other team's big playmakers in front of the defense, maintain gap discipline defending runs, don't give up free rushers at the quarterback because of mental botches on blitz pickup. Just stop self-sabotaging and giving the other team freebies, and if it's a 1-2 score game in the 4th you can at least have a fighting chance.

Pats need to be careful of Evans, Gronk, and Godward pushing off…they get away with it a ton.
