BB dragged Jones out of the field with him at the end of the game

As long as he doesn't let it get to him, I think this could make him a better QB in the long run. He does seem confident enough to shake this off and move on.
It was never going to be perfect for him as a rookie. Actually, him having another 3 pick game is possible this season.

You're right. He needs to shake it off and learn from it.

So this thread has turned into a debate on whether the Patriots would've beaten the Raiders sans a snowstorm. 20 years ago?

Hmm...

On topic, I think Bill was right to take him aside. It's one game. You can't let too much of one game spill over into the next.

Sorry, I am done with my part of hijacking this thread. I am done with the argument here. It isn't fair to everyone else.

But yeah, I think this is good for both guys actually. I think Belichick needs to show his team that he is supportive of his QB after being raked through the mud (right or wrong) for the last few years. I don't think it matters to the outside world, but to the team it might help rally the team around him and each other.

I heard the fans booing on TV, what was that about and how often, loud?
I don’t think there was much booing at all. I booed bb a few times but only like one other person joined lol

You made good points.

Thanks, but whether I did or not isn't the point. I and others hijacked the thread with off topic discussions. I don't like it when others do it in a thread I am enjoying and I should remember not to do it to others.

Loud enough to notice but not sustained long. The boos were almost exclusively aimed at Jonnu Smith, also some of the play calls.

Your professional assessment means f*ck all

You're being too magnanimous to the clodhopper. He's not professional at anything, save for being an impressively accomplished doofus.

Rob is a ****ing neaderthal who doesnt realize a concept as simple as this:

-The Patriots defense from 2001-04 had Tedy Bruschi, Ty Law, Lawyer Milloy, Richard Seymour, Ty Warren, Mike Vrabel, Rodney Harrison, Ted Washington. All of their money and draft picks went into this unit to bring in and retain talent.

-The Patriots offense from 2001-04 had a bunch of castoff/role type players, besides Troy Brown, Deion Branch in 2003/04 and Corey Dillon in 04. In 2003, they had an abysmal running game but still finished around 10th in total offense.

-Ergo, the Patriots defense was the better unit, for obvious reasons since they were stacked, whereas the Patriots offense was the weaker unit, for obvious reasons, since they had only one all-time great player and very little beyond that.

-Ergo, Tom Brady was easily the most important individual player from 2001-04, even if the offense wasn't as strong overall as the defense (though the offense was damn good because of Brady)

Everything Rob tries is some kind of smoke and mirrors garbage with dishonest semantics games. I've taken the bait too many times. It starts with "Brady wasn't so great back then" and then moves to "the defense was the reason they won." He does this like 30 times a year because he's a weird, obsessed loser.
Here are the offensive (left) and defensive rankings (right) for the 2001-2019 Patriots.

The word dragged is such bs. Dragging yeah if he grabbed him by his ear or hair and dragged him off the field. He grabbed his wrist for a second Jesus. Media today is despicable.

"Dragged". Hahaha.

One thing I'm not worried about is our QB.

Can some of you please turn off "As The World Turns" and put down "The Enquirer" before posting? Please?

What a bunch of drama queens.
I don't care, I can't stand it!!!

This doesn't look right. What's the source? Also what is the definition of the ranking. It's definitely not points for or points against which is the most important thing. The 2001 defense gave up yards but was extremely good in red zone defense. 2017 doesn't look right at all, I think that defense was best in points against either all year or the entire second half of the year (until inexplicably benching its best corner at the end). Something is broken on whatever you pulled from, the 2014, 2016, 2018 defenses were not middle of the pack.

Basically your list looks really not credible.

show us YOUR list then...

The list is completely nonsensical, no relationship to the years they won a ring or not. You can't even defend the questions I asked, you're just being bitter because the offense sucks right now and I've been right. Well just pretend it's going great! You don't deal in reality anyways.
