IMHO, Wilfork, Andre Johnson and Ware should be locks. Mangold is borderline. Jake Long, Mathis and Cromartie don't belong on that list IMHO.

Their production is quite similar. I just fear that Wilfork will get left off the first ballot because being a NT is not sexy enough for HOF voters due to lack of stats...IMHO, Wilfork, Andre Johnson and Ware should be locks. Hester, Ware, and Wilfork are the only ones that should be locks from my perspective. They were defining players at their respective positions for a decade+ of stellar play. The rest are all very good and have borderline arguments, but I think this is a year when legacy players get in instead.
Vince gets screwed for playing his position the way he was asked to, in a nearly flawless manner. For his size, he was a most splendid athlete. I think he was as good as any DL in the league during his prime, and he was paid like one. Unfortunately, I agree with everything you said, to Vince's detriment.Unfortunately, Wilfork’s all-pro snubs will come into play and doesn’t have the traditional stats either. This is where sites like PFF are good.
In terms of grades? I'm just curious?Unfortunately, Wilfork’s all-pro snubs will come into play and doesn’t have the traditional stats either. This is where sites like PFF are good.

This is why A22 should be available for everyone. Individuals and sites that want track, grade etc A lot easier to track stuff like tackle at los/no gain, I know we have TFL but we could also look at how often he successfully handles doubles.Yes...someone like Wilfork doesn't have the sacks and is maybe borderline (at best) for pro bowls/all-pros for Hall of Fame consideration. I'm not referring to PFF only, as a specific go-to source, but just in general the idea that some analytics and grades can help to quantify performance in this case. Yearly grades for Wilfork might help, as well as some sabermetric-style breakdowns of the Patriots defense with and without him.
Yeah, well, I'm sure I'm gonna take the word of the guy who hawks concussion water and who was sanctioned by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission for falsely presenting himself as a doctor and claiming to be able to cure cancer, AIDS, multiple sclerosis, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, and Parkinson's disease using a dietary supplement called "Supreme Greens".
Guerrero is worth attacking on his own simply because he's a piece of **** who preyed on vulnerable people. **** him. It's simply an opinion...in fact, most people, even Belichick supporters, agree that the reason for the split was Bill not making the changes Brady wanted. You could easily counter what Guerrero is saying by disagreeing that any non-standard treatment should be required from Bill. I don't see what attacking Guerrero accomplishes, other than a really defensive look. Guerrero isn't making ayny jaw dropping claims here, and I think his criticism is very mild.

Vince is a tough one bc stats are just not going to find him. I can't think of anyone at his position who was as good and durable. Guys Hampton, Williams in SD and P Williams in Minne? I can't really think there are more big boys but again as good and durable?
I loved watching those Minne DL.
