Anyone else stoked for the matchup against Brady and the Bucs?

The 2019 team got to 12 wins almost entirely because of the defense during the first half of the season. The dynasty doesn't happen without Brady, I agree. But he's getting way too much credit after last year. Tampa could have won with any one of the top 10 QB's in the league.
Why do you people insist on embarrassing yourselves, in order to bash the greatest player in this team's history? It's about as petty as it gets.

So saying those wins were "almost entirely because of the defense" is just ridiculous.

It's pretty obvious that Bill and Josh have been holding back in preparation for the Wk-4 game. There's no way in hell Bill let's Arians embarrass him on National TV.

This vanilla offense is a result of Bill believing he could win the 1st two games with it and he almost pulled it off. That's why I'm curious how they come out against the Saints.

But make no mistake about it, come next Sunday at 8:20 pm, Bill will tell Josh to unleash the MacKraken to take Brady & the mighty Bucs down with the ship.

I've been wondering if this is why the Pats haven't had much of a red zone offense so far. I wished they saved the double pass from the Jets game for week 4, but hopefully they'll have something else up their sleeves.

I actually thought of that the other day and thought someone like you might call me a "conspiracy theorist", but I happen to agree that's why it looks vanilla. Maybe not, but it's certainly a possibility.

I wouldn't be shocked if the pedal gets pushed on a bit more Sunday as sort of a tune up for a more attacking downfield style offense.

Not really. I think we are going to get our ***es kicked.

And then there is also this little-known aspect of the Bucs roster potentially being, well, better than the Patriots one. It's nothing but hyperbole to claim that Brady on the Patriots in 2020 (or this year) would have done anywhere near as well as he'd done and doing with the Bucs.
What if Bill hadn’t **** the bed in 7 consecutive drafts, though, thereby needing to buttress the roster with more expensive vets?

Worst decision since trading Babe Ruth. BB sycophants on this board cannot accept reality.

He is not wrong.

Bradys worst season was 9 - 7 back in 2002. Brady won 12 games in 2019 with a piece of crap for an offensive roster. Its going to be a long time before we see a 12 win season again.

Brady is going to prove why he was right to leave and Gronk really doesnt like BB and will have something extra for this game.

AB was ushered out by Bob K too.

People forget that Mac played for the Crimson Tide, in one of the most football crazed states in the nation, and with a fan base, like that of the Patriots, that sees anything less than a national championship as a disappointment. He handled that situation with no problem. The Bucs may win, but I'm not worried about Mac handling the pressure.
My reaction as well. I kind of laugh when people say he needs to show he can handle pressure or "we don't know if he can perform the same way in the bright lights" or whatever the implication is.

Conceptually, leading an efficient offense at Alabama under Saban and doing it for here BB is the same thing, albeit a raised degree of difficulty in the NFL. He also beat out a 5 star recruit in the process.

If Jones can look like Dak Prescott or some version of that the way he quickly was distributing the ball and shredding that crap Bucs D, there is a chance, especially with brand new plays no one has ever seen before.

I think Brown will get the clamps put on him. He’ll be the guy that gets safety help. The question is WTF we do about Evans, Godwin, and Gronk? Oh, and they have Howard (who was Brady’s top YAC target in 2020 before injury) and Fournette too.

There was nothing wrong with the roster in 2019 outside of TE but they even brought back old friend Ben Watson to appease Brady. He was set up with short fields constantly with great STs and a D that was by far and away the best in the league with the DOPY in Gilmore. I've never seen such short fields for a Pats offense. A good OL and run game also should have helped him. They just won a SB a year earlier with everyone on that roster save for Gronk (a shell of himself), Dorsett and Hogan.

Maybe if the fontleroy showed up to OTAs and met his new receivers, things would have been different.

It's absolutely not going to be a long time. They have good pieces.

Bucs got Miami, Chicago, Buffalo, & Washington.

Not exactly a cupcake sched per say.
In their division they get Falcons 1 more time, Saints x 2 and Panthers X 2

First of all, Godwin is completely overrated. Loves to drop the ball and I have no idea how he gets tagged at that kind of money, but let TB overpay and watch him walk next season anyway where some dumb team will overpay him some more. JC Jackson will have to step up on Evans and I bet he does. NE has two Safeties they use on TEs. Adrian Phillips, who is kinda good, and Kyle Dugger who is in his 2nd year. Gronk is nowhere near his prime.

I think i get why most people have you on ignore. Those numbers include defensive scoring. The defense actually scored more points than they allowed during the first half of that season. They would have won some of those games if the offense didn't even show up. People forget that the offense really sucked that year.

Giving a historic defense due props hardly amounts to "bashing" Tom Brady. Chill.

AB was ushered out by Goodell and cheating owners. AB is still guilty of sexual assault. Just because he pays the woman off, doesn't mean he's innocent.

He thinks he's the smartest guy in the room and may not even be employed.

pass rush will have to go NYG on him…

You obviously didn't read what I wrote or you are just devoid of understanding. Brady wanted to be in ANOTHER SYSTEM and play for a DIFFERENT COACH, according to his current QB coach.
And you know why? Ego. Peytie Manning did it, so gosh golly darn it, Tommy Boy needs to do it!

Just insufferable.

Despite Butler's benching, Brady fumbled the ball with the game on the line...

Tom put up a record performance in that game. 500 yards passing. 630 yards of offense. That loss is not on Tom or the offense.

Completely diff scenario. He's going against the GOAT in the house he helped build infront of the world with the GOAT hc on his side. Fans may cheer Brady louder than they do Mac...

This is beyond anything he learned steam rolling lesser competition in Alabama in star studded roster.

I'm not doubting will/won't answer the bell but if he's able to "block the noise" and put in a good performance we should be happy because this isn't "just another game" ...even though it is.
