Rip David Patten

Very sad. My first thought when I heard he died was he took the jab and died of a clot/stroke. Then I heard it was a motorcycle crash. Reiss says he crossed the median and crashed. Could have been medical reason. Hope they do an autopsy.

Dude, I don't know if this is a political statement or a joke, but a good man died young, show some freaking class. You're behaving like an Eagles fan.

no, just telling my thought process as i heard the news. im as sad as anyone about patten and quite tired of hearing about young people dying unecessarily. go away with your hate.

Motorcycles themselves aren’t dangerous
I agree.
Unfortunately, even if you’re the safest rider on the planet, you still have to contend with horrible and distracted drivers all around you. Not worth it, IMO.
Yes, but there are plenty of cyclists driving carelessly swerving in and out of lanes between cars.

"Holy s#!t. Who caught that? Was that Patten? Are we really gonna be up by two scores at the half?"

RIP, David Patten. You were the kind of player and have the kind of character that epitomized the early years of the Dynasty.

So, so sad. Prayers and condolences to your family.

Well yeah. They’re not exempt from driving like **** either. They’re not operating them within the confines of safe speed or the law. They eventually end up with their brains scrambled.

So sad for him and his family. My heartfelt condolences.

a lot of great memories from DP.

As a Drew Bledsoe fan (duh), I immediately rewatched that touchdown Drew threw to Patten in the AFC Championship. That was fantastic on both their parts.

What a clutch player. The kind of try-hard, high-effort player the early dynasty thrived on.

What I will always remember about Patten, aside from many great football accomplishments, was he used to give away his spikes after a game.. one time I was buying a car and the dealer had a pair on display. David was a good guy who connected with the fans.

Play where he was unconscious but touching the ball, starts at 2:25. It’s hilarious, the announcer (thought it was Simms but not sure) has no clue what the call will be for 10 minutes and then when they announce it he says, “that’s exactly right.”

That was the first of our huge correct calls from 2001.
I remember that Bills game as one of the hardest hitting Pats games ever.

RIP David
