Definitely not an overreaction . . .

Efficiency
Mac Jones: 71.43%
Tom Brady: 78.57%

Average yards per completion
Mac Jones: 15.6 yards per completion
Tom Brady: 14 yards per completion

I mean, Tom is SIGNIFICANTLY more efficient, but Mac's average yardage per completion is better! When you look at the numbers the right way, you can see that they are VERY different players *sarcasm*

Solid analysis.

Proof they're basically the same player. Can't argue with numbers.

The numbers don't lie. Mac is probably better, he played with the number 2's against the Giants number 1 defense for 2 series.

Mac Jones is Drew Bledsoe without the cannon.

Slow and holds the ball too long as if posing for a statue.

I guess you haven't watched any of the games then.
I watched last night for the first time.

Preseason isn't real football, but Mac isn't the answer if that game is the best he has.

Perhaps all his receivers being covered has something to do with his 'posturizing'.

Jesus send this to Deus Bigalow and Biffins and troll their azzes

Mac looks like he's going to be really good in this system. He's accurate, moves within the pocket well and seems to make good reads. I'd still prefer to go with Cam this year so that Mac can get a full year to learn the system before he plays meaningful minutes. Even with Cam as the starter, I'd be shocked if he played every game this year so Mac will get a couple starts.

This team is going to lean so heavy on the run game this year, so if the QB can hit on play action throws, read the defense and make short completions then I expect success. Mac Jones can do all those things.
