Scott Zolak accused of spawning ... let's call it "rapgate"

oh yeah? then why is a glass of tap water .25 cents at Cumby's? There is nothing free anymore...except deez nuts...LMAO

I agree with you on the ignorant and fools comment. You are living proof of both.
The feeling is mutual. If you are bothered by a comment a radio guy made then you are an ignorant fool with to much time on your hands.

Has Zolak also talked about how Cam dresses. Wouldn't be surprised.

Zo and his micro agressions. Cancel him!

Admittedly, yes there is an obvious racial connection between rap to black people. But I think, as someone else noted in the thread, that if a black person made a comment about a white dude and country music no one would bat an eyelash.

Hell I’m someone who is traditionally on the side of a bit of political correctness is appropriate. Can’t stand trying to ruin someone over this.

Cam seems like he's always stoned playing football.
It wouldn't surprise me if he is prescribed the same ADD drugs Zo no doubt takes.

I've seen Cam's fashion ensemble elsewhere...

As soon as Twitter is done cleansing Jeopardy hosts and purging "The Office" episodes, it's just a matter of time before they go after Michael Richards though I find it more culturally insensitive that the Seinfeld producers had the brother in this scene wear plaid.

Zo is probably the most knowledgeable of all the local Sports Talk radio hosts which should wield some influence. Unfortunately he shies away from many discussions relative to real or imagined controversies about the Pats. Often his co hosts come up with hair brained "things they heard" only to create controversy. What does Zo do?? He leaves the booth or stays silent...

He has access to the inner workings of the Pats and the players along with co hosting a weekly show with BB.. he knows better, but instead of using that knowledge he shies away from it. All of this for the sake of ratings??? As an avid Sports Talk radio listener, I find myself turning away from that medium more and more as time goes on. The situation at hand about Cam might be more to create controversy which drives the ratings, unfortunately.

It is almost as though Zolak is uncomfortable with being the smartest guy in the room...

I am no huge Cam fan but I have no problem with him “dancing” between plays at practice. It’s obviously his own way of releasing nervous energy and mentally preparing for the next play. It’s the team’s (i.e. Belichick’s) decision to play the music, so why criticize a player for enjoying it?

As for Zolak, whom I obviously disagree with, I think it is a stretch to call him or his comments racist. But hey in today’s cancel culture, everyone is a racist and your life can be ruined for expressing an opinion that doesn’t tow the politically correct line.

Zo is a man-child with ADD issues.......but.........when he talks football, he is the most knowledgeable and passionate mediot in the Boston market IMO.......and when he does color commentary during the game broadcasts, he calls it like he sees it which is rare in today's Thou Must Shill For The Home Team No Matter What media landscape.
I would listen to his 10-2 show more if his Pie Boy partner would just shut the fu*k up. The know-it-all fat fu*k can't help but talk over anyone and everyone and that's when I hit the off switch.
And don't get me started on the pill poppin junkie who works 98.5's morning shift, another insufferable.

I mean... a lot of y’all here sound like him.

lotta pats fans think “they hate is cause they’re jealous.”, eh... some ppl hate how toxic that region and its fans can be. It’s been well-documented.

What you may call toxic I call intelligent. passionate fans with a history of success across all their team
I live in Columbus where OSU fans are also passionate but not critical of their team even when they should be.
Not sure where you live, but Boston demands excellence and calls it out when they see underachievement.

I like Zo. He was being honest (his opinion) which I may not 100% agree wirh, but no need to run him out of town over it.

I blame social media. Things were better without technology. And I’m a Millennial (an old one).
This is like blaming guns for murders. There’s always a human pulling that trigger.

I'm alright with the comment from Zo, not racial,it's a professional comment. As a Dad i would tell my daughter to turn the music off and concentrate on the task at hand. We faught constantly. She's a 6 fig worker now. Zo was also a Pro Football Quarterback so he understands the position, period! Can't do 2 things well at one time.

I go back even further. I liked Eric B and Rakim. I still feel Rakim is the greatest rapper of all time. His flow was unbelievable. Plus I felt they chose such great beats. Also loved NWA, Public Enemy and LL Cool J. That being said, I think my interest in rap died with 2PAC.

Though I do like a dude named Logic. And a certain song by YG (featuring Nipsey Hussle).
Throw DeLa in there and you’ve got my hip-hop paradise!

For YEARS now, every time I think I’ve got you figured out, you turn around and post some **** like this!

He was being accurate.

Note: Cam dancing to "I'm an attention seeking whore" by MC Ice Bucket

Ironically on the Zolak and Bertrand show they often are blaring rock music when coming off a break and you see Zo rocking away for a minute or two. Perhaps his sports analysis would be better if he spent that time preparing his thoughts in those minutes? Oh wait am I stereotyping white guys add rock music? I'm just trying to point out the absurdity of the premise. I just think ZO looks for anything to diminish Cam Newton. If it were any other black player dancing around that he liked he'd probably embrace it.
