Good trade pending compensation & if he can stay healthy..

Should be an interesting few days of every team trying to trade the guys they're about to cut.

Wonder if Shaun Wade was someone the Pats had on their radar during the draft.
Guess they do since they are supposedly trading for him.

So it’s wade plus a 2022 6th and 2023 4th for Michel and a 2022 7th and 2023 5th

Swap out a rb for a db/st and move up a round in the draft twice

One year of middle-money the RB vs. four years dirt cheap, potentially, for the corner (who still has to prove himself, obviously).

I still hate the Sony trade, but I really like this move.

I don’t HATE the Sony trade, im just cautious.

I’m not worried that Harris/Rham is going to be a big drop off from Harris/Michel, enough so that if they think Rham is ready im good with rolling him out there. But this year that lead runner and his backup are going to be real keys to our success so if one goes down using Taylor as #2 in that role concerns me. However we were fine with Lewis in that #1 role, and Woodhead was pretty much the #2 despite doing it out of a passing lineup.

Taylor actually seems a woodhead clone more than anything else and woodhead as the “passing back” at a time we were 2TE base got more snaps than any other “passing back” has.

No, I mean that I hate it. Michel was a binkey of mine coming out of Georgia. Could not for the life of me understand why McD wasn't using him in the passing game. My heart was all a'flutter when they did that last week, 4 for 4...

healthy, in a contract year. Figured that was his year.

It’s the system. Rbs will never play every snap. They define roles to not wear them out. Harris and Michel COMBINED played 43% of them last year.
Michels role was to be the lead RB. In 2018 he played 28.6% of the snaps. He played in heavy run/pass ratio situations and others played when there were more pass heavy.

He played 320 snaps and carried the ball on 209. That was his role and others played on more pass heavy downs.

181 of his 209 carries were on 1st down or 2nd and less than 6 or 3rd and less than 4.

The Patriots don’t believe in one rb playing all of the different roles.

Love this.
for depth at Safety,Nickelback, Slot Corner yeah but for an outside cb idk...he struggled there a lot at OSU, he was damn good inside especially the slot, and is a good tackler, he covered Devonta Smith on Slants really well if i remember the game right

Well we traded for him to play the roles he plays well not the ones he doesn’t.

yeah but i mean outside CB looks like a way bigger need than Safety or Nickelback with Williams, Mills, Bryant all look more like inside guys than outside
