Guess the 5 cuts following the game

Langi had a strong rookie camp/preseason with us and made the 53, but didn't do much after that point. I don't think the problem is that he got worse; I think he just never got better. The ceiling was never much higher than the floor.
Could be that whole got in an accident and couldn’t walk thing.

Why would you cut Cajuste?
He has recovered from his injuries and made it to the field. He could be one of the biggest surprises to the depth of this team. It’s not like we are loaded with backup OTs.
Well Cajuste has been injured every year since being drafted and unfortunately has shown nothing in the practices and last night was the worst Olineman for the Patriots. I know it is a little unfair he has never had the chance to get his feet under him and I wish him the best, but looking at it objectively he seems like one of the first cuts.

They arent cutting him after his first game in 3 years. I thought he played ok. Neither of us know what he has shown in practice. His upside is better than any backup OL on the team. They knew he was injured when they drafted him.

There's no reason to expect anybody from any of the second team units to get cut when there are still plenty of third-teamers on the roster. The OL rotation was kind of a mess, but I believe Cajuste was the 2a guy at RT, with Cunningham also getting snaps there with the rest of the second team. We should probably look more toward Prince and Hawkins, who barely got on the field. I’d expect Sherman (third team at guard) to avoid the first round of cuts since he’s a rookie, but Lazar noted that he’s been especially brutal in one-on-ones so far in camp.

I wasn't able to evaluate the OL much, would you say he was the best out of the guys competing for that last spot (Cajuste/Cunningham/Sherman)? Come to think of it, I don't even remember seeing Sherman at all. Definitely remember hearing the announcers talk about Cunningham getting beaten though.
I thought that Cachoo out-performed both Herron & Cunnyham for the Swing Tackle position (didn't see enough of Jerald Hawkins or RJ Prince - though Prince was the RT on Stevenson's 91-yard TD - to form a judgement)... Sherman played RG next to Cachoo and appeared to hold his own for the most part...

Agree...As of this writing, Cachoo is the leader IMO after the first turn in the Swing Tackle sweepstakes, ahead of Herron, Cunnyham & RJ Prince... Hawkins is a slow starter, so we'll see what if any finishing kick he possesses...Either way, it's not exactly like we're watching a Breeders' Cup race or anything there...

These look better than mine. I didn't realize Terez Hall is on PUP so is safe, though I think Rashod Berry might skate by the first cuts and be in the last batch as they try to get him to the practice squad like last year.

Meh, I can easily name 30 guys to be cut right now....

I am interested in the bubble/fringe cuts....they are gonna be painful...
True, but that's usually a sign of a deep team.

There are teams like the Jete trying to find good enough guys to keep.

We're in the place of having too many good guys and struggling to find ones to cut.

I think that Redmond gets another week or two to compete with Ferentz and Martin.

Okay the title says it all after the first 2 preseason games the teams must cut 5 players. Who are they?

I will go with:

Terez Hall
Marvin Hall
Alex Redmond
Dee Virgin
Yodnay Cajuste
I think the changes I would make after the first preseason game would be to swap out Terez Hall for Prince and Yodnay Cajuste for David Wells. The next set of 5 should also be fairly straight forward I think. It is going to be the final cuts that get interesting.

All I did was describe the trajectory of his career. Didn't speculate why or even get into that, so not sure what you're trying to do here besides get an epic dunk in.

When do the Pats have to make these cuts ? Monday ?

I think it is Tuesday 17th , then 24th , then 31st Aug down to 53

Maybe 5 that are not on the plane to Philly could give us a clue !

Yeah, another guy Made of Glass. Really getting tired of the Pats inability to avoid these injury prone players.

Why are some predicting that Terez Hall will get cut? First, he is on PUP. Second, they are thin at ILB (from a quality standpoint) and he flashed off and on last year. I’d rather see him in the lineup than Langi or Maluia. I also wonder whether BB will reconsider the anticipated redshirt year for McGrone.
