Is your son making the beds of his "friends"........................................................................in a prison type setting?
No think I was referring to out drinking them. At least I think.

Well that's what I going with anyway.

I'm not saying you're right or wrong but, If the team was going to get Jones some time against the "starters" for the Redskins and/or with the "starters" for the Patriots, it was going to have to cut Cam's start short. So I'm not sure that we can read anything into Cam getting just two drives, especially since this is the first year they're going with 3 exhibition games instead of 4..
I’ll read something into it. Bill wants to give Jones as much time as possible, against the best competition possible, whether he’s the starter in Week 1, 5, 10 or next year.

If he doesn't play much against the Eagles it might be because he will be the starter, or it might be that he's been released. I think we see a full half of Cam Newton next week while Bill Belichick evaluates whether Cam can move the team. I think you'll see a full Cam package of runs and passes to get a read in real time whether he can still play QB at the NFL level.

There's no way Cam gets released. He might not be a quality starter but he's not a bad contingency to have (as a backup QB) and he can come in on goal line plays.

Whether Cam can be humble and accepting of a backup role is yet to be seen.

Some O-line numbers: When I look at Cunningham below and his one qb pressure allowed, it was a horrible effort that could have gotten Mac seriously injured.

PASS PROTECTION

Great stuff, but I’m not sure it was horrible effort, Cunningham just totally whiffed on the cut block.

All of the players with “MJ” initials have played/fared well thus far..

Aaaand here we go. Take that FWIW. Makes me think his seat really is hot enough to make him squirm
Cam really loves him some Cam.

All joking aside, I really like Cam as a person, I hope he has a great year so he can get himself a good contract next year somewhere else. Also him having a great year helps the Pats, and helps by giving Mac some time.

so...2-15?....maybe 4 or 5 wins? cut Jones and try the draft next year when they have a top 3 pick? share your wisdom with us lowly sub-Jete fans....

Right on the money.

I just laugh at that pic. Jesus.

In all seriousness, when was that taken?

Hopefully in high school. That said I like the kid, I think he’s a winner, and while you still have to have NFL talent that’s what separates the QB’s, and great players in general,

Why does everyone have to add this disclaimer? It’s so out of whack when talking about professional sports players.

I like Cam as well, but he’s done as an NFL QB. I guess he was so talented that mechanics never mattered, I’m not being facetious, he’s had an amazing career for a player who was just winging it.

For me it’s because I was turned off on him as a player before he came here, I can say the same about Rodney Harrison, but for different reasons, primarily hypocrisy.

Yea in the past typically it's the 3rd preseason game that is the dress rehearsal and the 4th is maybe a 1 series appearance for the starters to go through something then they are done for the night.

This year, is the new 2nd game the old 3rd game or is the new 3rd game the old 3rd game
Final game also has a bye in between so they might be fine playing starters. So who knows?
