2022 Draft Prospects

Agree completely PFFO. OT, maybe OG, CB and a Free Safety. That is what I will be looking for.
This will be my focus as well. BB loves these positions and need is the biggest rn.
We have quit a few front seven players under contract maybe Pats are looking for a true ILB depending on the development of some recent draft picks and Hightower idk.
2021 was QB, DT and DE, no surprises there.

It would be great if our WRs over performed so the WR draft talk is reduced from the normal hysteria to a secondary topic.
Agree sir. I do not think we will pick a WR early at our draft spot ( I suspect we will pick around 17-24) depending on QB play. A later round addition would be nice for competition tough bc harry is a goner for me and the rest besides agholor meyers and bourne are open spots where we do not have a clear locked spot. It would be great if Zuber gunner nixon or one of them could be that

It would be great if all three were good. Reports from mini-camp on Nixon were that he is fast in the open field so fingers crossed.

Speed is a good sign and need besides agholor. Hopefully he can make the team and we are a little more aggressive with maybe Jones as a QB regarding attacking downfield.

Jordan Davis is a MONSTER.

I assume we will be picking OT and defensive secondary in the first few rounds?
That's what came to mind for me. Maybe LB dependent on young improvement and loss of veterans

McGrone is on IR and will be back for 2022 so that is one rookie linebacker - I think LB is a lower priority. If Brown and Wynn are extended, maybe OL is not that important. CB seems to be very important, we have a bunch of safety types.

After 15 days of patriots training camp, the top 3 needs I see for the 2022 draft are:

cornerback
Offensive tackle
Free safety

fortunately, I see 3 corners with really high preseason grades.

stingly of lsu- tremendous cover guy, might not be the bravest at tackling, but clearly a top 10 pick in this draft!

Elam of Florida - instant improvement over all our current corners, not named Gilmore of cj Jackson.

Gardner of cincy - my favorite in this draft. I wonder a bit about the competition level, but he has two games, at least, this year to prove himself.

Gardner and Elam will be off the board way before pick #32.

Just want to add Booth out of Clemson. He could have a breakout year as well. As for the FS position Joseph out of Northwestern is an interesting prospect to watch imo

If Cajuste keeps stepping up, he was bumped ahead of Herron in the rotation according to media reports, then OT is not as big of a need. Would really be a Secondary draft.

I like cajuste as a back up for the oft injured Wynn, but if brown leaves in the offseason, we will need a quality offensive tackle.

the secondary is also a huge concern. Mccourty is not young. Gilmore snd jc Jackson are probably headed out of town. Mills and Duggar are terrible in coverage.

Dugger hasn’t played a single regular season game so far in his second year. Give him time he has all the tools. He already is a good run defender has great athletic and versality for DB/LB positions. He can pretty much do everything.
However I agree about CB and OT may be the biggest needs next offseason with FS on the list as well. Evan Neal would be like a natural Brown replacement with his size.

Lot of good defense on both sides that game. Quarterback play on either team was not good. Clemson coaches could have helped their QB a little more, or if they tried he didn't adjust. Not excited about Daniels of this showing.

Yeah, even though Georgia lost lecounte campbell stokes and ojulari for example they had a good defense. Davis is a monster in the middle of their line. 6 or 7 sacks I can’t remember speak for itself. But the right side of Clemson offensive line did not help their qb at all. It was a fun game to watch if you enjoy good defenses. Have you watched bama? I thought their defense took a good step from last year. Or did miamis offense just not play that good, hard to tell for me.
