Serie A is a really strong league. I don't care what anyone else says. In my book, they are #2.

It was an awful call. It was an awful call against who you claiming? I thought Portugal looked good against France much better than their game against Germany. CR7 is everything for that team. If only they had a couple of more skilled players.

Portugal have more talent now than they have had since CR7 was 18 and he played alongside Malinche, Deco, Figo, Rui Costa and others.

Start with their back line, no team has two better defenders than Dias and Fonte.
Then CR7, Joao Felix, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Diogo Jota, Neves, Guerreiro, Sanches, Danilo.
They are loaded. and underperforming.

Now, it may be that players like Dias, Fonte, Guerreiro have had the best seasons of their lives, but it's still impressive.

The Czech Republic team showed what is the definition of "team". With no stars they beat the Netherlands.

The Czech striker Schick is pretty good though , if you have someone like him that can score goals pretty well then you are in with a chance. He killed off the Scots team.

These type of players always seem to rise up in big tournaments. However Schick had a really hard time catching on with Roma in Serie A. They were begging him to take the reins because Dzeko was supposed to leave. Schick couldn't do it. They sold him for practically nothing.

Agree but Lewandowski seems to be better IMO but my team is not a team at all. They have no spirit and they lumber in the field. On the paper we have had the best team since long ago but when we are at the tournament we play s***.

Welcome to my world , we waited 23 years to get back into a tournament and screwed it up big time. My only hope is that we are seeing some good young players coming through , but.......we badly need a striker that can score or we will end up failing again.

Yes. Hard one to call, as you say.

I saw so much to be encouraged by from England at the WC in 2018. This time, not so much (except for Phillips, Saka, Foden and Mount). If Germany play at their best, they should win. If they play like they did in their first match, though ...
