better not be no damn 1-3 or 0-3 going into that game. Sweet Jesus
Cam or a rookie QB (likely Cam) I wouldn’t be surprised.

Brady is done winning Super Bowls.

Tampa had a lot of luck getting there this past season and the Bucs wont have the same drive to repeat which has not been done since 2003/2004 when Brady was a young man and NE had the best defense of BBs NE teams.

You read it right the first time.

You mentioned Minnesota and the Ray Lewis Baltimore Ds. This one is not in the same league.

Vita Vea is great--I acknowledged that from the beginning. I have entirely other feelings about their other two big run stoppers, Suh and White. Yes, I am not a big White fan. It's true. I'd never put him in the same breath as the other run stoppers being mentioned here.

The Patriots are a running team, BTW.

Anyone who thinks otherwise should not be commenting about the deteriorating quality of this board.

Anyone who doesn’t understand a half baked term you don’t care to explain? What is “a running team”? You mean the team that just drafted a QB in the first round and spent more money on pass catching skill players than any team in the NFL? The team that let their best run blocking guard walk to afford the new receivers?

You seem to be implying Bill has lost his mind and is now a reincarnation 1998 Bill Cowher trying to impose a stupid smash mouth approach to every opponent.

I hope he throws three picks like he did against the Packers...the greatest Qb of all time. A half dozen Qbs could have won a SB with that team last year.
It's incredible how many of you began sounding like Rob Parker and Jets fans who you once mocked & hated for the last 20 years, the moment TB12 left for Tampa. Your loyalty to a sticker on a helmet is making you stupidly irrational.

The downside to this thread is that it is attracting all the rats from the Tom Brady sub forum...

I hope we win is a 52-49 shootout. I am nervous he comes in here and destroys us.
Nervous?

It’s a guarantee. Embrace it now

It'll be hard for them to be healthier than last year. At the end, who were they missing? OJ Howard?

We see this a lot in the NFL (at least, my eyes tell me that), where teams have some injuries early, but then people get healthy and with fresh legs, make the great ending run. The Bucs peaked at exactly the right time last year, while some other teams (KC) were taking it on the chin.

Jones, Evans, Godwin, AB, Cappa, Vea, and Howard all missed games last year and Evans wasn’t healthy all year but played. Those a key injuries with Vea being there best defensive player basically missing the season

I'd like to see how well Cam would do coming into the fourth quarter of a blowout, not having practiced with the first team offense.
there's a reason he's not practicing with the first team offense.

That Bucs defense is still in tact. Also bradywent to 3 straight Super Bowls from 2016 to 2018. I don’t see much competition in the nfc. The only team i see is the packers and Rodgers is a choke artist. Don’t trust the 49ers or the Seahawks or rams. This stuff about not being hungry is weak. I am sure brady will have them focus.

ah, I wish I had a nickel for every time some fool said “Brady is done winning Super Bowls”…..

‘twas not that long ago the same crowd told us we should keep Garoppolo because no QB over 40 ever won one…..

Double post - apologies

Just curious Sb, have you officially jumped ship and are now routing for the Bucs? Sure sounds like it.

"Bucs roll"
"Poor Bill"
"I'd take the Bucs here at -13.5"
"Feels like a mismatch here"
"Can't see how the Pats compete here unless there are key injuries on the Bucs side"

That's a Patriots fan, right? Because if I didn't know better I sure wouldn't think so. I understand not being a complete Homer, but what genuine fan would actually say those things about the team they root for?

I don't get that mentality/approach to fandom.

Amazing how some Patriots fans have adopted old rival talking points to belittle Brady almost word for word.

I see one, maybe two people like that in this thread, and they've been universally ridiculed and laughed at.

Other than the one (or two) obvious troll(s), there has not been a single person in this thread who hasn't shown anything but appreciation and respect for Brady and what he accomplished in New England, and rightfully so - TB12 is the GOAT and a legend.

The notion that there's a meaningful anti-Brady contingent on this forum is a myth.

Yes, how shocking that the denizens of a Patriots fan board would tend to be Patriots fans.

New England is a running team.
I would amend that statement to 'run/short distance high-percentage pass'.

(That concept may not sound familiar to fans that have been around for awhile, who are unfamiliar with the names Brown, Welker and Edelman.)

While there is no Corey Dillon on the 2021 roster, the multiple options should compensate for the reliance on a single work horse.

The Patriots are not going to reclaim Baltimore's rushing record set two years ago, but I do still believe a team can be successful in today's NFL with a strong defense, and a short-yardage ball control offense that occasionally exploits their opponent's defensive alignment with a deep pass.

This Bucs season will not be as charmed as the last. Brady should have walked away on top.

The gratuitous holding call in GB basically decided the game.
Brees breaking his ribs ended the Saints post season.
KC losing both Tackles wont happen again.

A Fool would buy into Brady going back to back at 42 as if Brady will never show his age. Good luck to you.

I have nothing but love, respect and admiration for Tom Brady, he's our greatest ever Patriot however, as the Bucs QB, I must admit to wanting to see the Pats D batter, bruise and obliterate him.
