2021 NFL Free Agency/Trade News & Discussion: April Edition

In fact, I don't see them bringing in many more players at all,

They will be bringing new players in all the time - at their pace - like they always do. Its not just about 53 roster. First step is solidifying 90 (or 80) roster for TC, then selecting 53 and PS (12-16 players) through camp.

I should have clarified: they won't be bringing in many new players who will make the 53 (other than injury replacements).

The Dolphins are an amusement park ride which everyone overlooks in their rush to praise Grier and Flores. Yesterday, they released their 27 year old captain and starting safety, Bobby McCain. Today they signed 34 year old backup CB Jason MCCourty.

It's a salary cap issue. The numbers won't be similar.

I’d like to kick the tires on OT Mitchell Schwartz, but he’d probably command too much as he’s PB/AP caliber. Would be an excellent addition at the right value.

All joking aside, it’s not a bad ILB depth signing. He had a pretty good year last year for the Jets.

Between the "would have been a first round pick a year earlier" rumor and the awful car accident, it feels like Langi has played significantly more than one game and six defensive snaps for the Patriots.

Goodness gracious, man! This needs its own thread.

Seriously, Langi would have been a big help last year. I thought he played well for a team that shall not be named. I'm not so sure about this year with so many FA signings, but the more the merrier.

Welcome back, Mr Langi!

Probably more of a TC-depth>PS/ST move but feels nice to get binkie back :)

This move further indicates they will start McGrone on NFI despite him feeling ready to go. Redshirting talented rookie coming from significant injury esp. with a loaded roster makes sense although its never ideal situation from development stand point. Hopefully it works out.

Why would he want to come here and be the WR4, at best?

I liked Byrd well enough, but he's not playing over Agholor, Bourne, and Meyers.

We still need Somebody to back up Agholor, or to play along-side of him in certain situations that require two receivers to threaten the deep sideline...All we have there with any kind of experience is Harry...

Injuries will take care of some of that, as will disappointments and likely a trade or two. But for right now, there isn't a position on the team that doesn't have good competition. It's a good place to be in.

The competition for Outside WR #2/Agholor backup, Swing Tackle, Nose Tackle & Outside CB #3 isn't good enough.

harry doesn't exactly imbue confidence.

Not a fan myself, but if Bill says so.

What's worse than the catch itself is the Terrible angle SloJuan takes after the catch is made...Kelce should've had < 5 yards of YAC there.

Reminds me of Glitch Richards in SB53.

Not a commentary on Kyles' point in general, but just because I watched another of his play examples...

Kyles either misreads this play or is just too biased in his analysis.

The DB is beaten cleanly. A bad throw is the problem for the WR here, not the defender.

Yep; SloJuan provided no resistance at all...Look at that ****ing cushion...Horrible, just Horrible.

The dude is NOT an NFL CB...His only chance is FS...if that.

I've never seen anything from JoeJuan that made me think he was an NFL player. Maybe this will be the year he finally shows something. But, as with Harry, I won't be holding my breath about it.
