Rohrwasser cut

What a great draft pick...

Hmm 5 pages about a garbage kicker getting released what could possibly be so--oh. Right.

Sadly yes, and the best rookie kicker (Rodrigo Blankenship) wasn’t even drafted.
Yup, Rodrigo (#5 in points scored) could've been picked at the end of 7th round, and the 5th round pick used for a WR. Terrible decision for a no name dud.

Blakenship had already played in numerous championship games and made a huge kick on the road at ND. He was a no brianer pick for any team that needed a kicker.

The squandering of this kind fo draft resource is hard to stomach.

Look the national sports media pretty much destroyed Kraft and BB over the AH pick. Yes hindsight is 20/20 but there were warning signs. Bad job by Bill and Bob. You might not think it was a poor choice but youre not running one of the highest profile sports franchises in the world. They should be better!

Unfortunately as we know they have not been...
I mean, these are the guys that thought filming the Bengals sidelines from the booth was a good idea. Sigh

As much as you want to turn this into a political discussion, most will not fall for your deflection from the issue at hand.

This has less to do with politics than the reality is that it gives the Dummy Squad just one more stupid thing to complain about.

Here's the point.

Kickers decide many games so it you think you can hit on an exceptional one......a 5th round pick is well worth it. If it doesn't work...zero harm.

Kickers are like closers and hockey goalies.....they tend to be whacko's who can flip on a moments notice.

What kind of idiot does it take to sit here in March with free agency on and the draft coming to sit on this thread moaning and complaining about a "wasted" 5th round pick on a wild card position.

(Actually, it looks like just about every Dummy Squader has "opined")

So he joins 43.2% of the rest of last years 5th round draft picks as no longer in the nfl. The tragedy.

he likes america tho so i think we should make a bigger deal about it

We need a label for the act of reviewing a single draft pick as a failure because some other player taken later in the draft was more successful.
Some kind of shorthand for this behavior. It confuses selfish expression of childish emotion with liberty and analysis. Its like walking into a living room where there's a good conversation going on, yelling a political slogan, farting, and taking a center seat.

You talking to yourself in front of the mirror again?

He saw something in the kid...besides the tattoo ...but I would have thought he would have picked a kicker late in round 5+ ...and from at least a good program or a program that plays in the tough weather.....oh well...hopefully ...we get some gems....this year instead of the many pieces of coal last year......

You talking to yourself in front of the mirror again?

Coincidental you would respond?

My point was a reminder to the posters with an IQ above 2.

You're not the in the target audience

I think the idea is if you draft a kicker in the 5th round, he better be good enough to stick on your team and be amazing.
