If Belichick were as certain Stidham is not an NFL caliber QB as some posters here, he wouldn’t be wasting a roster spot on him.To those who say Stidham is not an NFL QB, I am not sure how you can be so certain. He has not looked good in grbage time in a couple of NFL games. He looked good in one training camp. This is only the start of his third year. Without having seen him in practice or having the expertise to decipher what is good and what is bad, maybe its too early to give up on him. If he is on the team in September, you can be sure McDaniels thinks he is good enough to at least be a back up QB.
Stidham is not an NFL caliber QB. Highly doubtful he is on the roster when September arrives
Keene and Smith aren't there. Neither was Gunner, Edelman or Zuber.Thing about that, when it was Brady it seemed it was TB and a few of his binkies. This looks like almost the entire receiving corps is there. Great team building exercise. A bunch of true professionals, they know what to do, and could probably prepare for a middle of the pack season without any coaches involved. Bodes well for the foundation that will be in place for training camp.
i really like Bourne already. Hope it translates to game day for the Pats
I like his demeanor a lot. Positive high energy guy.i really like Bourne already. Hope it translates to game day for the Pats

But we all know BB is totally clueless as a GM. Read it here on Patsfan. If Belichick were as certain Stidham is not an NFL caliber QB as some posters here, he wouldn’t be wasting a roster spot on him.
so we have to decide, are those posters more knowledgeable than Belichick about Stidham‘s potential? After all, it’s unlikely Belichick has seen as much of Stidham as they have...
but with Byrd gone, we need a lightening fast “z” receiver.
Hard to think of another QB in this league who regressed from rookie year to year 2 like Stidham did and stuck around. Rookie QBs who are worth anything are supposed to take a big step forward in their 2nd year and he went the opposite direction. We fans don't have to see him play, the coaches do and they have - and the conclusion they've drawn is they'd rather start a guy who can't throw the football. To those who say Stidham is not an NFL QB, I am not sure how you can be so certain.
