Seeing Harris going to the Pats in a mock took me by surprise, but didn't realize he had 43 recs. It also led me to think about picking up QB/WRs(/pass catching RBs) combos in the draft. I wonder if that's something that teams consider with previous chemistry/history/familiarity/whatever. Curious if there're any examples of that in past drafts and whether it's been successful. Instant binky.

First thought about it months ago when a lot of people were thinking Pitts (then maybe grabbing Trask in 2nd/3rd). Now thinking one of the Bama receivers with Jones 2nd round (which doesn't look realistic but who really knows) - or Jones/Harris 1st/2nd. Then there's door #3 with Mills/Fehoko.

Wow, I like the look of Evans a lot and late 4-5th seems about right for a running back this year, given that the Pats have bigger needs to fill in the early rounds. Coincidentally, I took him a 177 last night in a PFN mock as a White replacement, although I didn’t know much about him, other than the fact that he has talent as a receiver out of the backfield.
Yea I've had my eye on him. Him, Felton & a few others might look good in that White spot.

It's an interesting thought. I feel like we've seen it before but can't remember rn I just got up 30 mins ago but Bill loves taking teammates. Sony/Wynn, the Michigan guys recently. Wouldn't be surprised if it was due to that. Culture, camaraderie etc..

*edit* Also Harris is probably the best rec RB in the class. He's a legit 3 down back with versatility all over. Unless we absolutely needed a RB or Sony goes I'll wait until round 3 or 4 but I don't mind securing that group considering we're going to run the ball as much as we are.

So which other bison Player could we draft

Not bad, Perry knows his stuff when it comes to the draft. That's definitely a pats draft if I've seen one.
Yeah I mean exactly what most are thinking here trade up for qb but still managed to get mcneil who would give us tremendous run stoppers upfront and way better quality depth. Just those two and i am already fine. Some O-Line WR and CB later and i am completely fine

Depending on who's on the board I might pass on McNeill that early considering we have DG, Davis, Anderson. Maybe a little redundant with those guys, only so many snaps to go around put I wouldn't hate it. Just might not be my first pick there.

Yeah true couldn't see who else was available in this scenario but I think starting mcneil and DG with Anderson maybe on third downs would be nice. I would welcome another run stuffer maybe not that early but I don't know if davis can manage to stay healthy. Actually i would like Twyman later if he is there for third down 3 T

That would be a dream. I'm curious if teams see Radunz as I do. We'll see but those two slipped my mind for a second. Quite the pair.
I still see him on some big boards in the second rd. The hype May not be there rn but could easy start. Tampa KC ravens Packers could all Grab an OT

Agreed I think KC or GB would be great spots for him. Personally, I think he could play both guard and tackle positions bc of his agility, balance and smarts. Seems like a tough kid, like his attitude. Its a big ask but I like him a lot. And think his versatility is up there with almost anyone in the class.

Agree. He has nice size for OT though and with a year at G and adding some strength he looks like a good OT. Really good class again so there are maybe still some OT in the second available.

Everything is better with Bacon. well maybe not ice cream.
That's why they call it "the Gateway Meat." Whenever I watch cooking shows and someone says they're using bacon, I yell out to the tv, "Cheater!"

I have a question about Trey Lance. How did a kid that talented end up playing at a run-first Division II college? If the answer is not “he had to stay home to take care of family”, it brings into question whether he has the competitiveness and dedication needed to excel in the NFL.

Most great QBs are alphas who want to run with the big dogs. That Vance chose to run with the little dogs is very concerning. What’s between the ears and how it works is perhaps the most important criteria for a NFL QB. You would think we’d all be conscious of that after 20 years of watching a QB who left California for Michigan to constantly battle one highly touted prospect after another for playing time.

He initially wanted to play at Minnesota, and had been ready to commit there after attending a recruiting event in February 2017. However, he stated in a 2020 interview with NFL.com that P. J. Fleck, then in his first year as Gophers head coach, wanted him to play safety instead of quarterback

Lance was not considered a quarterback prospect by Power Five programs; most that had an interest in him wanted him as either a wide receiver or defensive back. He received at most two Power Five offers; one source said that his only such offer was from Rutgers, while another said that his only such offer was to play linebacker at Iowa.

Him sticking with playing QB even if it meant he had to do it at NDST kind of shows his competitiveness. Wanted to prove people wrong... Reminds sort of a guy that the Pats picked once at #199
