His numbers the last 6 games are really good for our DT group. Maybe the first part of the season was related to the shoulder injury idk
Not a hill to die on. It’s very reasonable for different people to have different analysis of backup DL.

Everyone lies - that’s not a trait exclusive to women.
Yes they do. However, some people have stated that a woman would never lie about something like that.

Everybody lies.

Yeah I agree, I am not trying to change your Opinion, more to show why i would take Butler over Wise on passing downs and he signed a very reasonable deal

I wouldn't be surprised to see Andrews to KC. It was reported that they're letting their center walk, and they have a bunch of money available that was previously earmarked for Trent Williams. Taking Rodney Hudson back after six years with the Raiders would be an option for them too.

They are likely to draft one of the top centers now, it seems, unless they envision Karras as the top backup at center and guard and still go after a vet like Hudson.

The run defense was really good in the 3 games he played at NT. Under the radar signing that could pay off down the road.
One of the more absurd stats from last season is that he didn't play for a single called running play against Houston. His 20 snaps were all passing plays, although that includes the touchdown scramble where he was very clearly held.

When everybody is defined as some within every group yes. If defined as every single person, no.

If he can avoid further concussions and stay healthy, a three man line of him, Godchaux, and Anderson should be VERY tough to run on, especially with Judon on one edge and Hightower back in the middle. They'll probably go lighter than this on a lot of snaps (depending on matchups), but when they're in 3rd and short, a formation of:

Godchaux-Davis-Anderson
Winovich/Uche-Hightower-Judon
Gilmore-McCourty-Dugger-Jones-Jackson (replace Dugger and Jones with Mills, Chung, or Phillips as matchups and health dictate)

Would cover a lot of bases on a typically very difficult down and distance to stop.

I didn't notice Wise much on passing downs tbh. Butlers swim move was dangerous. I have to admit Butlers first half of the season wasn't nearly like the second half but he showed up there.

I think part of that is due to the fact that Wise was playing more on the interior DL last year, rather than as a full time defensive end, which is where he is more effective.

If they would only tell us if they were going to run or pass so we knew when to put which players on the field...

Crap that's less for Butler than I expected, I hoped we would resign him. He would be the best interior Rusher we have so far

I had him below 5M apy. Miguel iirc had him at 8M apy. I said thats one of the few of his tweets that will not age well
But he loves players to be paid and Pats players more so thats understandable

Butler was nice & i pushed for him like i was giving birth to make the team in 2107. But i think he might fit better somewhere else. Pats are best when two big guys push the line/clear the roads and the cavalry charges behind.

He doesn't have immediate impact as inside rusher like the big guns - so his value/usage would always be limited. But he does find his way through the walls..

It will be 2 DT and 4 de/lbs

Davis has a chance to make the team but the dt rotation looks like it will be God, Andersen, cowart in the base nickel without a lot of snaps left over.

Cardinals grabbing AJ Green - interesting move

The geniuses over at Finheaven are convinced that they got an upgrade over Godchaux for half the price. I think we needed a Godchaux type DT more than a Butler type, but we'll see what becomes of both players.
