Player Signing RapSheet: Agholor to Pats

Doesn’t need to catch the ball. No throwing. Nelson, run downfield as fast as you can. Occupy a defender, maybe two sometimes. We running the ball. All the time.

I am not playing games with any stats. The vertical game has always been one of the things he is more comfortable at. There are years of history.

But then again I am talking to people on a board that still think his arm had an issue instead of looking at his footwork.
What makes you think those things can be fixed?

Playing games with stats I see. Lol. Now use your eyes and stop looking at the stats. He threw 16 deep passes and we know he can't thrownit more than 40 yards

There's no games being played with stats - Cam actually wasn't half-bad on deep throws (see the throw to Byrd in the Houston game). Where Cam struggled was with his footwork and timing. The short, timing throws were hard for him because of his low release and his sloppy footwork. He was pretty sharp in this regard early in the season but dropped off a cliff after COVID.

His arm itself is fine - his footwork and timing were really bad.

Was hoping for will fuller

$11M is still steep for a low-tier X receiver. Not terrible...but my least favorite deal of today.

At least he's better than N'Keal.

Do not remember a free agent day like today, I like it..

Very aggressive in areas of need..

Don't like this one, he isn't a WR1

Like him. Poor man’s Diggs. Before last season, I would’ve said very poor..

gonna be Byrd lol .....seriously look for a draft rookie to have an instant impact...we hope anyways since we know Belichick's track record for picking a stud WR is pretty horrible
Belichick has conducted 21 drafts with the Pats. He has only drafted 6 receivers in the first 3 rounds.

2002 Deion Branch 2nd rd.
2003 Bethel Johnson 2rd rd.
2006 Chad Jackson 2nd rd.
2010 Taylor Price 3rd rd.
2013 Aaron Dobson 2nd rd.
2019 N'Keal Harry 1st rd.

The Steelers drafted wide receivers in the 2nd round of the last 4 drafts.

I think it is more accurate to say Belichick doesn't draft receivers than to say he is horrible at it.

Of all the WRs, I was thrilled by Algholor the least, seemed to work on a prove-it deal, but i remember wayy too many drops from his philly days... Not like Carr is a bum either.

I was hoping for Curtis Samuel

Easily my least favorite signing of the day but certainly fills a need.

Hopefully this is purely a depth move. Team still desperately needs a true WR1.
Right there with you. I don't love it, but he's the best we have as of 3/15, 7pm.

Between he and Edelman, on top of Cam’s, uh, precision, I guess we’re looking to lead the league in drops. It’s better than what we had last year, but that’s some faint praise.

I don't get this one. 11M is Way too much money for what he has achieved so far

This is a terrible deal... not liking this at all. Hope its incentive laden and nearer 8m, not even in my top 10 FA WRs

Pats cheap when broke.

Honestly a little higher than I thought it be. I was thinking more like 8-9M with incentives to bring it up to 13M per year. That would just about fit.
