I am not commenting on this post specifically, but you have trashed this team post after post for the decade or so I have been here save a few Super Bowl seasons. You clearly don't like this team. Why not just become a Bucs fan?

Mahomes is always throwing to wide open All-Pro TE's and WR's

Cam had no TE's and UDFA WR's .. if Mahomes had to work with that he'd do nothing passing + wouldn't have Cam's rushing to rely on

This is complete garbage. The receivers are the reason Cam's numbers look so good.. Not Cam.

Available in free agency? None. I'm just disappointed the current situation, at the most important position on offense, is exactly the same as last year. The ceiling is low. I dont buy into the "full offseason, etc" turning him into a solid starter. At this point we're relying on Harris/Michel/OL and hoping the D balls out.

Yes, it is disappointing. IMO the only way forward at QB is to get lucky in the draft. Keep picking till you get someone who sticks.

I'd rather have the Patriots do this than trade away a few firsts for Matt Stafford and have to pay Stafford more money. I'd rather have the Patriots do this then overpay for DeShaun Watson in a Hershel Walker type deal.

Indeed. Cam is on QB2 money with a short term contract. He's just a place holder till we can find something better. This does mean we may have to suffer through a season with him as QB1 or QB2, but that's just where we are now. People still pining over Brady are IMO masochists. Yes, in some alternate universe he could still be on this team, but in this universe he's playing in Tampa. Time to put on your big boy pants and deal with where things really are, as opposed to where you want them to be.

I'm at peace with it. We will see if they draft someone in the late rounds that can be developed. Too many holes to fill. Can't be giving away picks this year. He is still better than Hodson, Hoyer, Wilson, Secules, Millen...
Now if we can only bring back the old uniforms...

Might be true. I have been a fan since the 80s, but there is something about watching Cam that I do not enjoy. He is a great guy - I like him personally. Sometimes I found I enjoyed listening to his post game reactions more than watching him on game day. I guess the whole team looks dysfunctional with Cam at QB and that triggers some deep seeded anxiety left over from my damage childhood. Not sure how to explain it any other way. Watching Hoyer and Stidham did not trigger me like Cam. Not sure if that makes me a poser fan or not.

We'd be lucky at a 5-10 year window. Miami has been looking for a QB since Marino retired, Jets since Chad Pennington's shoulder got operated on, and Buffalo had revolving doors between Kelly and Allen.

5-10 isn't so bad. Quite a few teams take a lot longer than that. Bills went more than 20 years between Kelly and Allen.

I don’t think I could have any more respect and appreciation for what Bill Belichick has done for this franchise.
If I were asked the day he was hired what is the best I could possibly hope for, he has far exceeded what I would have answered.
As a fan of the team I am grateful. I would not have wanted anyone else in the job.

But, Bill I urge you to please see a doctor. I watched every play of the 2020 season. I watched through the lens of what 20 years of the belichick era has caused me to expect in terms of the talent and ability of the players that are on the field.
I can’t blame you for the atrocities we saw at the QB position because you were caught short with no options.
I knew you had picks and cap space in 2021 and if there was one thing I knew is that you would not let such a vital and enormous weakness as the qb play we saw in 2020 not get corrected.
Unfortunately Bill Belichick in 2021 is acting incredibly unlike Bill
Belichick prior to 2021 by observing complete crap out of a player and bringing him back to destroy another season of patriots football.
Something is amiss. Bill I know aging is difficult and ignoring the signs is common, but for the sake of your health, if not the organization please make an appointment with a specialist ASAP. The only explanation for bringing back a QB nobody else wants, who was literally the worst QB in the NFL last year has to be that you are suffering from dimentia. Please get help.
