So, technically 1 year deal for Brady, spread the cap hits out

That's a lot of dead money years... So he gets an extra 1 year and then there are 3 additional years that they'll carry dead money from him on. It's probably not that much though. Maybe $6-7m a year?

Gronk contract news to soon follow ?

That brady move is likely for barrett since he wants to get paid like an elite pass rusher which he is not. Makes me wonder if they can bring gronk and ab back.

Looks like the savings this year are $19 million, so like likely converted $24 million of salary and roster bonus into signing bonus (deferring over 5 years, so savings of $24 * 4/5 million). That would imply $4.8 million of dead money each year from 2022-2025.

If Bruce Arians is alive in 7 years, handicap the likelihood Brady asks Bruce to introduce him at his HOF ceremony.
I have the odds at 8 to 1 now but narrowing quickly
Another SB win together and we can have a 1000 page thread on the topic

That's probably what I miss the most about Tom. The determination and belief in himself/his team. Gosh that's inspiring. The willingness to keep going and going and going despite having absolutely nothing left to prove.
On the same day that the Patriots insult their fans by bringing back Cam Newton, Tom Brady, the G.O.A.T. gave his new team, the Super Bowl champions, an extra $19m dollars to use in order to keep that title winning team together.

As part of extending his contract with Bucs, Tom Brady could have asked for a raise in base salary for 2022. I'm told his compensation in the new year added today is "similar to" the $25 million he's due to make in 2021.

Pats fan since 1960. BB's $14m Cam signing has made it really hard for me to have any interest in my team's 2021 season. Especially vs Bucs (Patriots South) excitement.
I know, I know, too early to judge, but gotta vent.
