Great move by the Bucs - they've now kept their top two priorities: Godwin and David.

28.9 for both guys. Interesting to see if there’s an odd man out in all this. Will it be AB? They wanna sign barrett but the guy’s asking for a ton of money.

Interesting garafalo said it’s a 5 year deal with 3 voidable years for LB Lavonte David with a cap number of 3.5 million for the Bucs this year. That’s pretty sweet.

If there is an odd man out, I think it'll be Barrett, though I think there's a real possibility they can bring everyone back. I don't think AB will cost enough money that they'd be forced to move on from someone else in exchange. And if he does get a big offer from someone like the Jets, I don't think the Bucs would be interested in keeping him.

The fact that they're adding voidable years is good confirmation that they're all in and willing to make the necessary moves to keep the team together.

It’ll be a five-year deal with three voidable years for LB Lavonte David that keeps his cap number at a manageable $3.5 million for the #Buccaneers this year. Voidable years are all the rage this year as teams maneuver around the cap decrease.

I'm going to start having people call me Nostradamus.

If it was up to me it would be barrett. They can find a cheap option and also draft one.

David's market value was estimated at $12.7M AAS. He did pretty good. Bucs are $400k under the cap with Godwin's tag but before David's contract.

Looks like they're working on signing everyone they can first before seeing how they need to restructure/extend Brady. That's 2 of the 8 top FA signed, both being top priorities. Of those left they sign:

Succop
Suh
Gronki
AB

Shaq
Lenny

AB isn't going anywhere. I think he'll sign for peanuts just to play with Brady.

Brady is the only guy that ever pushed to give AB a chance to redeem himself.

@NFLSTROUD do they keep Barrett let’s hope

Bucs coach Bruce Arians made good on his word from the Super Bowl boat parade. He told Lavonte David, “Your ass ain’t going nowhere.” He told Chris Godwin, “Your ass ain’t going nowhere either.” Both are now back for 2021

Now just sign Suh, Gronk and Brown, and then see what’s left over. I’m against a Barrett extension regardless of whether or not they can make it work financially right now. They’ll have FAs agains next year. Lots of young talented guys on rookie deals. Don’t piss money down the drain just because you can.
