With FT for safeties so low at 10.2M makes sense. Safeties usually the slowest market . 3 FTs already this year to secure top young talent. Had an eye on this group on GM LOUNGE, oh well.. Johnson and Harris still standing..

To me, it's the most interesting tag decision of the (off) season.

My question is how? What’s the money for safeties this year when it comes to the franchise tag? Saints are still 46 million over the cap. Is the cap this year going to be 190 million?

The moves yet to come will be the most interesting. This should but them almost 60 mill over and if they cut every player that has a pre June 1 savings it would total about 70 mill

I was a huge fan of his during his draft year. I think I was one of the earliest to say that he would go in the first round -- well before his Senior Bowl hype. He hasn't always lived up to his draft position, and he's struggled to find a full-time role, but he's a highly athletic LB who can cover and rush the passer from a variety of alignments. Bring him in!

I love this dude

love indeed works in mysterious ways

not sure love would continue long if he came here. much prefer Uche myself

It's not one of the pricier tags. That probably had a lot to do with it.

Why?

This front 7 needs stoutness, speed, youth and LBs that can cover.

I like Uche but Reddick is already established.

Plenty of room for both.

Reddick just put up a big sack stat. Many teams look no further than that, so he will get overpaid.

Giving that tag day did go on today id guess teams were informed of the likely Cap. Last max was at 183M with NFLPA strongly pushing for more or wait till deadline if new tv deals kick in.

Also, some of the tags esp. from cap hell teams could be TAG & TRADE..

Tags can also be removed - until signed by player (which mostly doesn't happen before FA).
If Id be Cam Robinson though id run for my life to sign it before they change their mind

Not a chance gollday is 2 and Parker is 1.
Parker is a number 1 on about 20 teams.
It makes no sense for the Dolphins to go after Golliday IMO.
They have good WRs already, he would be a savior here.

Agree. I wouldn't bust the bank on him.

You think Parker is a top 12 NFL WR? My god

Look at the teams who've won the last 2 Super Bowls. Then look at your statement again.

I think you'll find that, in such context, it makes perfect sense for the Dolphins to go after a top WR.

It does if they plan on using #3 somewhere other than Wr. Say OL with Sewell or Micah Parsons to improve the D.

Reddick struggled mightily for 3 years (as predicted by some pre-draft) and had some good games this yr. Almost half of his production in sacks & QB hits came from 1 game vs struggling NYG OL. He cant set the edge or play run so i doubt he would last long under BB..

As mentioned in GM LOUNGE, Pats have 2 situational rushers already on board - what they need at DE is - agreed - stoutness. Id replace what Simon did with Bowser and then add one big Flowers type DE in FA or Draft

Running back Aaron Jones may not be leaving the Packers this offseason, but he won’t be staying with the team under the terms of the franchise tag.

The Tuesday afternoon deadline for teams to use the tag passed at 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday and the Packers opted not to use theirs on Jones. That sets him up to hit the open market next week, although the Packers will maintain exclusive negotiating rights with him until next Monday...

No franchise tag for Aaron Jones

Please, please, please tell me the Pats franchise tagged Nick Folk. LMFAO

Yea I was just doing some reading on him. I still love him but not the greatest fit here.
