Cowboys Dak sign deal

Dak made nearly $32 million last year under the franchise tag. He gambled pretty well. If he doesn't play another snap again, he will have made over $150 million since he finished his rookie deal.

The guy made out like a bandit even if he stinks it up.

Nice...there goes another Domino.....

We are LIKELY gonna get our placeholder QB in the next 9 days, IMO.....

$66 million signing bonus!!

66 million signing bonus and 75M in year one. 4 years. No trade and no tag.

So the Cowboys caved in every way a team can cave on this one.

Alrighty then.

Kurt Cousins thinks the Cowboys got fleeced!

I think this might be the beginning of what I will call the “Brady Effect”. Not Letting your franchise QB walk and look like an idiot when he wins the SB the next year.

Jerrah paid through his glory hole for this one. Dak is good, not $40 mil a year good.

If I’m Brady I want $50 mil a year.

They talked about that in WEEI. Apparently Brady is renegotiating for an extension at 25 per. He just wants to win.

So, imo, any team with a 35-40 million dollar QB that plays the Bucs play at a minimum of a 15 million dollar disadvantage.

Awful deal, I thought Jerry was smart

This ensures plenty of roster depth for Dallas. Come November and December they will be pulling guys out of homeless shelters for injury replacements.

And we wouldn’t give Brady 2 yrs $25m per...

yep, because unless they are cap alchemists, they won't win a SB with that contract unless the cap jumps 100 mil next year

Jerry hasn't been smart (about football) in more than twenty years. About making money - that's another story.

31 NFL teams now know that they're more likely to win a Super Bowl in the next 4 years than are the Dallas Cowboys. And, yes, that includes teams like the Jags, Jets and Texans.

he was great pre-salary cap.......it was like good old days recruiting in the Big 12.....throw some oil money, a few hookers and blow around, and everyone wants to come play for you

What is Dak worth ? (Yes, yes, « whatever someone will pay ») but really ?

Dallas will regret.

Cowboys gonna Cowboy. Should’ve signed him two years ago before the Mahomes deal happened. $30M-35M/yr would’ve been more palatable, enjoy no rings for a while longer.

Before you can get a "fair" assessment of QB value, you first have to choose the measurable standard. So who gets pegged for the model of fair value?

And, yes, that includes .. the Jets ...
