Asante goes off on Bill/Pats organization

Belichick doesn't get bonus points for Brady sticking around as long as he did with team friendly deals. Brady thought he doing right by the team, taking considerably less than what he could have made elsewhere in his prime, and Belichick repaid him by using him as the example for everyone else taking less too or being shown the door. Everyone taking less except for himself of course, making as much a $10 million per as far back as a decade ago and up to $20+ million nowadays.

You must hate winning Super Bowls. I love winning Super Bowls. I can give a damn who makes millions and who doesn't.

There are thousands, maybe millions of people here who defend the selections of Dawson, Jones and Williams.
This is obvious trolling.

When the Assistant HC is Bill Belichick, the acknowledged greatest coach in NFL history, it's highly meaningful.

In fact, Bill Parcells never did anything without him.

Starting from their time together in 1984, the Parcells and Belichick combo only had 1 losing season out of 11, 3 Super Bowls.
Parcells without Belichick is 4-3, no Super Bowls, not even a single championship game.
No, it's completely meaningless in the context of this discussion.

Your boy beLichick doesn't love winning Super Bowls as much as he loves his personal agenda i.e. Super Bowl 52. Did you watch that game? How did you feel about Butler standing on the sideline while the defense was getting shredded and the season was swirling down the toilet bowl?

You seem to lack an understanding of how impactful Brady was to the success of the Patriots. He took over a team that had been 5-13 and led them to a Super Bowl title with a 14-3 record. Belichick hadn't won a division in 6 previous seasons as a head coach yet with Brady he wins 17 division titles in 18 seasons. Then the very first season Brady leaves, the Patriots fall from 12-4 to 7-9 while Brady turns a 7-9 team into a Super Bowl winner with a 15-5 record. You think it's a coincidence that Brady led two separate franchises to Super Bowl titles in his first as their starter?

Do you believe everything that moron says? How gullible can you be?

Troy Brown played because all our DBs were banged up. He didn't start ahead of Samuel. But the fact is, Brown performed well in the playoffs. He's a big game player. Makes big plays on the biggest stage. Doesn't choke like Samuel.
Idk but he did have 3 ints in the game against CHI, and film does show him running along the sideline, and Troy Brown did play for the defense that game, so everything he said checks.

Maybe you're the moron.

Following up the earlier All decade team post is a bit more difficult for the 2010s, because it was really just New England and then some one offs. There were no legit #2 competitors, or anything really close to that. But, with that said, let's have at it (I won't count the Bucs, as that just seems cruel):

New England - Brady, Gronk, Mankins, Jones, Revis
Giants - None
Ravens - Yanda
Seahawks - Lynch, Wagner, Sherman, Thomas
Broncos - Miller, Harris jr.
Eagles - McCoy, Peters, Cox
Chiefs - Kelce, Mathieu, Hill

So, in 2 decades, only one team won a Super Bowl without having at least one All Decade player on its roster, and that was the 2011 Giants (aauugh!).

And, for the record, if we shift everything back a year to run 2000-2009 and 2010-2019 (the "decade" debate), we just add

Rams - Pace, Holt

:coffee:

Brady plays offense, not defense.
Don’t recall him on ST either.

But, guess that just me thinking there are three parts to an nfl team.

I'd love to know what his snapcounts were as that would be telling.

He’s danced around it on Twitter for a while now. At least now he just got it over with.

If what he is saying is the truth, it will change how I view BB. But I suspect it was not about incentives as he is thinking it.
His timeline starts in 2006 after the Bills game and into the Vikings game. That is where we can start digging.

People here hate on Asante who led the NFL in picks twice and owned a prime Peyton Manning for a pick 6 in a championship game...

yet they defend Duke Dawson, Jojuan Williams, and Cyrus Jones when BB overdrafts them by 5 rounds

People dump on Samuel because he talks and makes zero sense.

Drafting means zero.

Besides, if Belichick only drafts zeroes and losers at CB......what does that say about Samuel?

Who is “they”? I don’t think anyone is defending the latter.

Asante was a good player but he won’t be remembered for that. He will be remembered only for his role in the 1 in 18-1. No matter what he has to say about BB or the Patriots that is his legacy. Just the facts. Truth hurts.

I know who you are...it’s obvious.

You’re a poster who was here pretty frequently screaming about how Brady would fail in Tampa and screaming in the political threads. It’s obvious it’s you because that screen name disappeared when yours surfaced...clearly this was your second account from awhile back. I see you’re too embarrassed to show up because you were soooooo wrong. Your attacking style and moronic points are are exactly the same.

Yeah

That's it. keeping digging there Sherlock. You might find something on the way to China. Take these other posters with you. You can hold hands at night.

My responses to your posting is an act of mercy. I have stated I am glad Brady is gone because my opinion correctly determined it's time to rebuild. You are the opposite and are miserable. I'm very happy.

If you bother to listen, you can be happy too.

This offseason has the real possibility to be the most interesting in league history.....yet we get you and the other dongs keep poisoning every thread.

Ian

This one is a classic example of the intellectual and emotional poison that threatens to overwhelm patsfans.

I don't know what you're discussing, but I'm talking about Belichick's coaching, his ability to take average players (defenses especially) and make them into Super Bowl contenders.

??

We were discussing whether Patriots had superstars on defense.

I'ma gonna start calling @upstater1 Steven, the way he defends Daddy.

Yo, what did Butler do to you for Daddy to bench him during LII? Did he b*tch slap you?
It doesn't matter what you call me or what you call the greatest NFL coach in the history of the league. It just doesn't matter.
