Belichick criticism mega-thread

When you cant legitimately debate a point, attack the person trouncing you.

Brady chose to leave and when given the opportunity to ask for anything he wanted he said no im good.
That’s really what happened.

Why he may have felt that way is an entirely different discussion than whether it was his choice or the teams that he left.
Yeah I mean it's like saying Kraft could have done or said something to make Parcells stay. Short of him selling the team, it wasn't going to happen.

Gronk and AB were NOT coming back to the Pats, and Fournette wasn't coming here either.

Tom has said many times he made his choice and the fact is he earned the right to do so. Thank you to Curt Flood and other pioneer heroes who paved the way for pro athletes to have freedom.

Kraft [must give obligatory thanks for buying team and hiring Belichick] on the other hand is living in a fantasy world.

"I too prefer the old logo." -Robert Kraft to its creator Phil Bissell, two weeks after purchasing the Patriots in 1994.

Robert Kraft absolutely has been, is and always will be 100% committed to the sick, sad flying elvis, ugly enemy stripeless silver helmets and ugly enemy blue jerseys perpetrated 100% against Patriots fans wishes, over three decades of football history, tradition and glory and common minimal aesthetic sight.

The flying elvis is plastered and promoted absolutely everywhere, it's inescapable and the $millions Kraft has spent would have been profits instead of expenses if he'd simply restored the real look of the team and given the fans he falsely claims to care about what those in GB, PIT, DAL, SF and KC had.

You're suspect #1.

@dreighver comes across like BB's son (love you bro).

@Biffins is so over the top, it's definitely a 3d chess double agent move. Very suspicious.

@ChrisR2223 hinting about Brady using PEDs is another suspect.

There's obviously more than one. This feels like The Thing.
I am calling you out, @venecol, simply because you are trying to deceive, inveigle and obfuscate others into being what you say. I say that you, sir, are the mole.

Legitimate question.

Can you trade a coach? If you can, how many picks could we get for Bill Belichick?

I am not saying I want him traded. I don't. Just curious if it is possible and how much the team could get.

This is brilliant. Watson and a #1 for Belichick. Done.

Edit: option Watson/Fuller for Belichick

So you want to go to Houston and work with the crazy pastor? Or perhaps Ernie Adams wants to.

This just proves I'm not the mole. Now I'd rather not spend the rest of this winter TIED TO THIS F**ING COUCH.

Brady was indeed on a steady decline and 2020 was definitely not his second best year lol.
Brady in fact was not in a steady decline. Not ever. The ONLY season of his entire career where his play dipped due to any decline in his capabilities was 2009. And that was because he had missed an entire season with the ACL and he was working his way back into form.

Any other season Brady's numbers dipped in New England was directly related to Belichick the GM. 2006, 2013, 2019... all Belichick's fault because he's a complete jackass as a GM.

And 2020 was one of Brady's best seasons from start to finish. He won the freaking Super Bowl in his first season with a new team at age 43. He won three road playoff games, he beat three former Super Bowl winners and MVP's, and he became the first quarterback in the history of the league to win a Super Bowl in his home stadium. The only seasons arguably better are 2007, 2014, 2016 and 2017 (which would have been his best had Belichick not f*cked it up).

The Belichick Team wants to diminish Brady's 2020 season because everything about Brady's season reflects poorly on Belichick. As it should.

I'm throwing out your entire post worthy of response because one single sentence exposes your core belief.
Hey if that's how you roll then don't let me stop you from copping out.

My core belief is Brady was more important than Belichick. However I'm not reducing Belichick to just any bum head coach you come up with. Belichick is a highly capable defensive coach. He's come up with some great game plans to stop some high-powered offenses. However I'm not giving him credit for the offenses when he had the great fortune of stumbling upon the GOAT quarterback who made every championship possible. Brady is the reason for the Super Bowl caliber offenses.

When it comes to personnel, Belichick has had at least as many misses as hits, which has been prominently on display for the last two seasons. It'll be the reason why he never sees another conference championship game.

BB has core tenants which are uncompromisable and for 20 years has been consistent in enforcing them.
That's right, Belichick is inflexible, out of touch and outdated.

I believe Malcolm was legitimately sick after the AFCCG and got behind in his preparation for the SB. BB thought he should have done some things to accelerate getting ready and he didn't meet that expectation.
That's it? I certainly hope BB had some other reason(s) for benching Butler because that weak bullsh*t doesn't justify keeping a guy who played nearly 100% of the defensive snaps for 3 years on the bench while his replacements are getting torched in the flippin Super Bowl.

I find it interesting that a certain group on this forum want to scrutinize every Belichick decision of the last twenty years (with the benefit of hindsight, of course), without doing the same to the person they are comparing to BB. Apparently the six Lombardis are all thanks strictly to TB12 and nobody else on any of those teams, while the other 14 seasons are all on the coach and GM. (Also, the 369 turnovers never happened, or were all somebody else's fault.)
What were the season-crippling mistakes by Brady? List them and we can discuss. Belichick's are well documented and discussed. If you want equitable treatment, then you first need a starting point... so go for it.

Eh, are you rooting for us? Later I don't want to say "I told you so" It's okay to be mad at Bill but we should take the good too. I do.

Nope. You don't get to dictate what it proves. Deception.

All set with you, pal. I have zero respect for you as a poster and as a Patriots fan. I gave you a chance and you failed.

Not worth my time.

There is no rivalry.

I only deal with posters that have a clue.

He keeps coming after me though. He likes the fight.

Same deal with venechump and I. He kept tagging me all season long in the Bucs thread trying to pick a fight. He's got nothing better to do than sitting on his couch I suppose.
