OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

It was nice seeing the whole NE fanbase rally around Brady, Gronk, and the Bucs like they were their own.
They ARE. Brady and Gronk are Patriots 1st. Nothing will ever change that. They are only on temporary loan to Tampa.
They will both wear Pats jerseys when theyre inducted in the HOF.
Belichick will be there for both.

This has the potential to be a very interesting offseason, and one which is a disappointment for guys like Barrett. For example, guys like JJ Watt might spring free ($17.5m salary, $0 cap hit if cut/traded) because of the drop in the cap, and that could flood the market at various positions.
Well, that didn't take long.

Now we'll see if Watt is most interested in getting a ring, playing with his brothers, or getting paid.

We'll see what Manning wears when he gets inducted.

There's something about a team that you gave your all, blood, sweat, and tears, basically letting you go, or trying to trade you that may leave a sour taste in some players, especially when those players are Great and go on to do great with another team that shows them love and welcomes them with open arms. To me they'll be Pats forever.

Manning was in Mile High when he was told of his induction and he was wearing a Broncos jersey on Super Bowl weekend. He's said before he associates himself with the Broncos. Definitely not a compliment to the Colts that's for sure.

Would be disappointing if Brady does that to the Pats. Was bad enough when Johnny Damon did the same thing turning his back on the Red Sox.

I could care less honestly. Brady will always be a Pat. Gronk too.

Brady spent too much time in NE to divorce the franchise in terms of HoF / historical context and he's way too aware to do that

I keep saying barrett’s fools gold. He has taken advantage of having a big body vea on the d-line.

Well, that didn't take long.

Now we'll see if Watt is most interested in getting a ring, playing with his brothers, or getting paid.
Any guesses on which? I don't think he needs the money so it's probably down to getting a ring or playing with a brother. I guess brother if that's possible. Does he have anything left in the tank?

assuming the salary cap is $185 million, the Bucs have about $27 million left in cap space. they are going to have to get creative because otherwise I don’t see how they can keep all their free agents.

I'd guess that Pittsburgh is the front runner.

A brady extension saves about 20 million. Arians said even before the super bowl that brady will likely be extended. They might lose a couple of guys but they will resign some of them.
