Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald is reporting that Patriots linebacker Gary Guyton has reached a two-year contract extension with the Patriots. According to the report he'll recieve a $505,000 salary in 2010 and a $1-million salary in 2011, to go along with a signing bonus of $650,000.
"We're absolutely thrilled that the Patriots have done this for him," Guyton's agent, Richard Kopelman, told the Herald. "It's fantastic. He's worked very hard. They know it. We had some discussions with them a while back. 'Hey, if you could, it'd be great if you could step up and do a little something for Gary this year.' And they told us they would. They were true to their word, which was fantastic."
