Speculation: BB could leave after 2021

If we’re looking in house for BBs replacement I’m voting Mayo. I don’t think Lil B is ready yet.
Lil B needs to break away from Daddy and make a name for himself. Lil B is not even close to being ready as he's not known for really anything other than being on his Dad's staff.

who is this jimmy Stewart?
He wore #3

Doesn't matter since Brady was the only reason we won 6 super bowlzzzz....

I'm afraid to ask who Jimmy Stewart's source is but it doesn't matter.

If Bill doesn't find a franchise QB and has a 1/2 ass FA and draft class and overall sucky 2021 I can totally see him resigning/retiring and exiting gracefully.

Anything is possible at this point.

Jimmy's source is PF:

I wonder what the odds are of Bill retiring before Brady. Bill's 68, not too many men coached into their 70s. Brady looks like he can play for 3 more years. Can you imagine if Bill hangs it up before Brady. Holy sh%t, that would be so ironic.

He's almost 69 in 2 months. It's not out of the realm of possibility, even if this report is ********.
I've never understood the unwavering faith of some that Bill could just rebuild and we'd be just fine post-Brady given Bill's age. NFL's a grind, and Bill grinds as hard as anyone (except maybe Gronk)...and that becomes harder each and every year for a near-70 year old. The oldest ever didn't even make it to 73 before retirement.

Our hope is basically that we'll have found a franchise QB, or Bill has rebuilt an elite defense in about 3 years. Possible, sure...but it's asking a whole lot.

He’s one guy 52 other players on the team would take issue with that.
We’ve had superbowl hero’s
Adam Vinatieri, Ty Law, Deion Branch, Julian Edelman, Hightower, James White, Donta Hightower, Stephon Gilmore, Troy Brown, Gronk, Malcolm Mitchell, Teddy Bruschi, Vince Wilfork, Richard Seymour, Malcolm Butler
Its a team sport is Brady a great leader absolutely is he the smartest QB in the NFL with a insatiable desire to win?
Yes he is
Can we win without him yes
We had a winning record with Matt fricking Cassel.
If that team went to the playoffs we might of won the fricking Super Bowl.

I'll summarize

Brady was burnt out by Josh. Little Bill if you will
Josh froze brady out of game planning
Josh would not put personnel groupings out he wanted
In the past Brady could confide in Josh but Josh was running to Bill
Don't forget Josh pulled this horse ****** too.

Still in frustrated disbelief that Josh called 3 consecutive runs when we had the damned GOAT.

I don't doubt that Jimmy has a source, but would be curious how high of a level that he is. It could be a rival floating the idea as a preemptive strike to ensure that the idea of Matt as a candidate doesn't pick up any steam as the stink from Detroit starts to fade.

I'd be shocked, after the smoke has cleared, if Matt is the HC of the NE Pats. The Pats' moves are scrutinized more than any other professional team on the planet (see the Antonio Brown double standard), and knowing this I'm not sure that Kraft would want to have to answer questions about the old rape charges that were filed against Matt, even if they were later dropped because the victim didn't want to go through the rigors of a trial. Maybe if he was perceived as a slam dunk success story he'd give him a shot, but why face the music on someone who just recently failed so miserably.

Jimmy Stewart on 985 said this. I hope to God it's not Patricia as HC. Let's all hope he is wrong!

BB fcked us. He kicked Brady out and now he realizes what a monumental task it is to rebuild without a QB and he's realizing he's done. And wants to chill on his boat.

Even more sinister, BB realizes that the more seasons he loses without Brady (and Brady wins without him) he looks more and more like a chump so better call it quits quick

At this point I won't be surprised if he resigns next month, let alone after this year.

I've always had the philosophy that if you can't run the ball for one yard, you don't deserve to score. And get those damn LB's or D Lineman out of there as FB's. Always hated when they brought in Seymour for that and others. Majority of the time, they whiff blocks.

Argh don't remind me.

And the Dolphins game which took away our bye week

ARGH

Even 2019 could have been different.

I could buy the BB departure. I can't buy Patricia as the replacement.
There are two issues with this report. 1/McDaniels absolutely has to be next in line. It’s also been reported that the Krafts saw BOB as a potential successor for BB. I don’t see any way they move to Patricia.

2/Brady winning a Super Bowl had to go up BB’s ass sideways. I’d be disappointed if BB is not hellbent on proving TB12 was not the reason for the Pat’s run. BB won’t choose to retire until he wins another Super Bowl.
