Russell Wilson might be unhappy in Seattle

I’m not surprised. He takes a butt-whooping or runs for his life every week because of the lack of protection. You face Donald and Bosa twice a year each and don’t build a quality line? But he did sign that big ‘ol extension so ice up son.

I'd be tentative to blame all of those sacks on the line. Rus is always in the top 10 in time in pocket. He loves his long ball.

So at this point are Pat Mahomes and Tom Brady the only QBs who aren't at risk of moving to another team?

When QB's run organizations it will look good for a while. And they will score a lot of points and win a lot of games since the focus will be on signing elite offensive talent .But defense and ST in those teams will suffer eventually . Colts with manning are the prime example.

this is what its going to look like for Mahomes in a couple years when his cap hit is 45million and they cant afford a top Oline.

it is kind of ironic when QB's get their big payday then complain the talent around them isn't what it once was. the QB's squeezing that extra 5-10million$ is the difference between that extra Olineman or Running back that could help you not get hit as much.

Fair enough!
The other thing about that stat is how many of those sacks come on designed roll outs or from Rus's inability to read defenses like say, Tom or AR? Plus, hes not 6-4 and can look over the top of his o-line in the pocket.

Rus pointing fingers at the line seems a bit of a rush to judgement/blame.

Wilson is going to get traded. He's not happy with them. They are not happy with him. Most likely it will happen after June 1 so that the dead cap hit against Seattle will be substantially less.

If Bill wants a veteran QB to win with this is the offseason to do it. $60milliob in cap space and nearly every QB available

I wish Rus was a little younger but I'd be ok giving up a couple of 1st for him.

I'm not sure about that.

Too many sacks. Too many hits. Too much running around.

It's also still WEIRD that Tom Brady can do what he does in his 40's. QB's have more longevity on average than they used to, thanks to advancements in injury treatments and rules to protect them, but it still can't be counted on that a QB plays at a high level to the age of 40. What Brady is doing is a remarkable exception, not some kind of new standard that we should be holding these players to.

I guess I meant to say that if he gets traded here and gets enough protected then his max is about 8 years

Brady is the outlier of all outliers.

I still contend TB12 went through some kind of Deadpool/Wolverine-type transformation.

Tommy might be right but think hes a lot closer to 5 years left than 8.

You might be right. No way to predict a QB's longevity anymore. Before a Qb was done around 35-37 years old. Elway, Montana, Marino, Young...that was the age. Back then Moon was the outlier. Then Favre pushed it. Brees, Tom, AR...who knows anymore.
