What a tool...lol...such a disgraceful jackass in how he’s reacted to Brady and the Patriots for years.

"I don't have seven Super Bowl rings, but I think I played in an era when football was more of a contact sport. You're seeing a lot of that now -- players are protected," Rice said via Pro Football Talk. "When you have seven rings, you're doing something right. I think with Brady, he still wants to play. He said something about playing until he's 45. I think he can do it now in this league because players are so much more protected.

So, yeah, he can have that GOAT status. I never wanted that status anyhow," Rice concluded.

I think this is pretty stupid anyway when you try to compare the two best at different positions and ranking them. It’s like arguing if someone is better at playing the guitar than someone else is at playing the drums.
Thats pure ego talking.

It's the same as Montana. They are holding on to whatever anointment of GOAT status they ever received with their cold dead hands. When pressed, they always offer some acknowledgment of Tom in the most begrudgingly, roundabout way possible.

F-them

Yeah that's pretty arrogant. TB12 looks up to Rice and Montana too they were/are his idols

I saw Mahomes get hit pretty damn hard all night and take a beating.

Didn't look 'protected' to me.

Rice just protecting his ego. He can go hang out with Marshall Faulk.

What a loser.

Most of these assh*les give grudging, backhanded acknowledgement of the Patriots' accomplishments, while their mantra was, since 1970, is and always will be: the Patriots suck. Not because we ever did. Only because they do.

Tom Brady has played in zero Super Bowls wearing his team's established, recognized, attractive, classy, cool, traditional logo, helmets and uniforms respectful of the teams' fan base, history and alumni.

Patriots - 32 years.
Buccaneers - 21 years.

For sure...love the old Patriots unis and the Bucs creamsicles.

I want to vomit at the Bucs home unis with the pewter pants and red tops. Those are disgusting. I like their white unis (that they wore in the SB) but who wears red and black? I don't think I've ever seen a uniform combination look good when it's solid on solid.

Would be cool if Tom wears the creamsicle one next year for a throwback game...I imagine the league would sell a crap ton of those jerseys.

Red jersey with red pants would be cool, but other than that, Tampa's unis are mediocre. Not that our new unis are any better...

Love that Patriots uniform and that Buccaneers uniform is actually really nice

Do the Pats retire number 12 in a ceremony for next season’s game?

It’s pretty crazy just how freaking difficult it is to beat Tom Brady in the postseason. If you look at his 11 losses, they all fit into one of these two categories:

(a) a not so great QB who has been carried by a defense/supporting cast and plays much better than normal..

Eli Manning (2)
Joe Flacco (2)
Peyton Manning (1) - 2015
Jake Plummer (1)
Nick Foles (1)
Mark Sanchez (1)

(b) getting to play against a very undermanned Patriots offense that really doesn’t even belong there but was carried by Brady

Peyton Manning (2) - 06, 13
Ryan Tannehill (1) - 19

That’s all 11 losses right there.

It’s pretty ridiculous to look at all the quarterbacks he’s beaten. In fact, Peyton Manning is the only really good QB to ever beat Brady (all three wins he had homefield and a sizeable edge, but I digress.)

Peyton Manning (2)
Patrick Mahomes (2)
Aaron Rodgers
Drew Brees
Russell Wilson
Kurt Warner
Matt Ryan
Steve McNair
Andrew Luck (2)
Ben Roethlisberger (2)
Philip Rivers (3)
Rich Gannon
Donovan McNabb
Jared Goff
Joe Flacco (2)
Alex Smith
Chad Pennington
Matt Schaub
Kordell Stewart
Marcus Mariota
Jake Delhomme
Byron Leftwich
Blake Bortles
David Garrard
Brock Osweiler
Taylor Heinicke
Tim Tebow

Besides Peyton, every QB on this list has lost to Brady in the playoffs and never beaten him. He has defeated like every rival quarterback, many of them ”the next great one,” MVPs and Super Bowl winners. Take out Peyton and draw a line from Mahomes to McNabb. Every one of those quarterbacks were considered elite if not an actual MVP winner. Brady is 17-0 against them.

@Free_Pacman. Dude’s probably homeless now and tossing salads for $5.
Funny enough, I couldn’t do it anymore and just ended up rooting for Brady in the SB. As I said in another post, I don’t love how things ended here and I especially hate how many people are using Brady to diminish Belichick-the guy who stayed with us- but ultimately Brady brought be so much joy to my and my family’s fandom the last 20 years.

I also ended up making all the money back that I lost on the Saints and Packers, by hitting on Bucs+130.

You do realize that is a ridiculously silly take, right?
