NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION OFFICIAL Super Bowl Bucs/Chiefs Game Thread

I have a lot to say after that incredible game.
-Does this mean that Brady will finally have a 4 Games to Glory video?
-Hey Patrick, why don't you put a little milk on that moustache and have the cat lick it off? (not you @SammyBlueCat )
-Nice to see all of the Pats connections.
-Patrick looked average without wide open receivers.
-Brady: Dynasty Stopper.
-Did the NYFL really charge people $100 to have a cardboard cutout of their picture placed in a seat at the game. Is there no limit to what they'll drain from the fans?
-It was great to see that the refs didn't swallow their whistles for a change.
-I know PM had to run sometimes, but he did it far more often than he should have. So much for the running QB trend that never was and never will be.
-This game should put to bed the notion that coaches are more important than players. The TB coaching staff has been mocked forever.
-Speaking of coaching, does the 'losing a player too early than to late' philosophy also apply to coaches?
-And finally a song for the KC Chiefs from a man who actually walked a lot like their QB does now...

Someone will have to explain to me what the in actual **** Andy Reid was thinking calling timeouts before halftime to sustain Tampa’s drive. I mean, that was one of the most baffling things I’ve seen in a Super Bowl. I could understand calling the first one after they stopped TB on 1st down, but after that wtf?

Even if they’d gotten the ball back, the Chiefs would have had a better chance of an interception of strip sack than driving down the field in 45 seconds with a handful of big plays.

Going into halftime with a 14-6 deficit, all things considered, would have been almost a moral victory. If Reid hadn’t called those TOs, I doubt Tampa scores there and certainly not a TD.
yup, that was a game changer..imo

The accident happened, what, 2 days before the SB? There was literally no time to mentally adjust from that.
I don't think that made any difference in this outcome. Rout either way.

I dont know if anyone saw but there as moment in the broadcast where brady was yelling at the sideline telling them what is the play they should run and vetoing what they were saying. It was awesome. And yes the brady of 2001 wouldnt do it so he got a lot of what he did yesterday in NE. The whole offensive plan was more patriots yesterday than bucs of 2020.
yup, not a lot of deep throws. Evans 1 catch and Godwin 2....yet they score 31

Sure, but it would explain some of the questionable decision-making from the Chiefs sidelines...

Why couldn’t the Pats do this to Spagnolo and the Giants in 2007? Ugh.
KC has Spags the coach, but TB has the talent on the D-Line that Spags had to work with. The Pats were the Chiefs in 2007.

Brady is a notorious trash talker, as many players have mentioned over the years. I'm sure the two were going back and forth all game. Very uncharacteristic of him to chase Mattieu down though. He easily could have gotten an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for that.
What was strange was that they charged Mathieu with it when it seemed like Tom instigated the whole thing.

It's not a personnel mistake.

You, and others like Biffins refuse to accept the fact that Tom didn't want to be here.

It can't be a mistake if a player doesn't want to play for your team.

Same goes for Gronk.
Why didn’t he want be here?

Couple of us mentioned this somewhere buried in the last 1,000 posts. The TFB play was the knife to the heart TD toss to Antonio Brown!

Why didn’t he want be here?
Money, roster talent, his own outlook on life changing, say in personnel, say in game plans, Alex Guerrero, had enough of the Patriot grind, no longer 100% invested like he was, wanted to control his destiny.

Prob a few more but those were the main reasons.

So lets hit pause on that one.

I do believe she- indirectly was a significant voice in Tom's ear to help offer clarity to the situation.

..and if we believe everything in that book, how can Tom not realize what he needs to do? What's best for him? Best for his family?

I was telling my friends all week I wanted to see the Bucs defensive line absolutely tear Mahomes apart and beat him up all game.

They surpassed even my expectations.
