No he was THE greatest hands down.
Jim Brown was the greatest rb alltime by far.
All you need to know about Nance is he was better than Brown for one season- in Brown's prime.
He holds the afl single season rushing
record. The only Patriot rb even comparable was Dillon.
Back then, rbs were like qbs are now.
Brown controlled a game more than ANY qb, even Unitas. Nance was the 2nd best rb in football,behind Brown, when he was healthy. Career was shortened by injuries, but this is about quality, not quantity.
Like Brown, Bo Jackson and very few others, he was a combo of power and speed. Pats have had some great rbs but neither Cmart or Sambam were anywhere near as dominating..

NFLN finally reported on this incident, relating the known facts with no commentary. This is certainly a downer story right before by what all accounts could be one of the classic SBs of all time (at least I hope so). Hope the 5 yo kid pulls through alright without any permanent injuries.

as for Britt Reid, its hardly being mentioned at all... If this were Steve Belichick the walls would be caving in around Gillette with the hordes of reporters circling the stadium like sharks surrounding a chum ball

Although I initially didn't mention it, that was part of my point. The idiot had to not only have a drink, but to drive and now two kids lives are at stake. His actions will loom over Reid and Chiefs.

I like it better with Greg Gumbel. Don't know why they swapped them out in 2004. Nantz was really awful for a long time. Romo has woken him up, but I still prefer Gumbel.

I like Andy Reid. I believe he has lost one kid before .Hopefully no father has to go through this pain again and its not likely reflective of Andy Reid. But again to show the difference in how media access helps you. BB loses 7-9 this yr and is getting killed. Imagine if his son was involved in something like this. They would have a field day. But since reid is nice to the media and generally engages more , there is no backlash. Whats more, BB is already getting hits for nepotism but there is no news that Andy also employs his son.
