This place used to be great for Pats fans solidarity...then Fnord showed up....and the shyt hit the fan as we went to hell in a handbasket slapping the puppet over the most incredibly inane postulations in sports board history. In scientific terms....ENTROPY. Yup, all Fnord's fault.
He was kicked out
OTAs? You mean the optional stuff?
sulked in last 2 years? You mean he sulked his way to a SB win? Give me more sulking please!!
He WAS unappreciated, has a crap contact, and him and his trainer were kicked out of team facilities. Bucs seem to have managed, why couldn’t we?
I am awake. He wanted a 2 yr commitment and not play year to year. Too much to ask?
There was no passive aggressive BS. BB didn’t call him all offseason. Tom left. BB celebrated.
1. His UDFA signings somewhat lessen the impact of mediocre drafting.Yep...Not once has this dude acknowledged that it is because of his GARBAGE drafting that this team is now where it is...What an azzhole.
Wrong. There was no way to keep Brady AND build a competitive team around him.
3. I've never heard him take the blame for his drafting.1. His UDFA signings somewhat lessen the impact of mediocre drafting.
2. Many teams routinely draft worse from better positions.
3. He always takes blame for the team's performance. What more do you want?
4. Is he really supposed to tell his players, "We were mediocre because I drafted you chumps?"
Well it's a good thing Bill drove off a QB who could run the offense in his sleep.Call it what you want. It is what it is. 2020 season is the COVID season. It benefitted the teams who did not have significant changes. These are facts. If people can't admit to these simple facts, they may harbor other agendas.
Wrong.

So Brady being banged up 2 years ago means Brady can't run the offense? The random nonsensical posts on this site about Brady's play is ridiculous. You clearly didn’t pay attention carefully to the passing game production late in the season in 2018 (there is a reason that they went run heavy on their way to a SB title) or during 2019. The revisionist history on this site about those seasons when it comes Brady’s play is ridiculous.
But he takes the blame for the performance of the team. That encompasses everything. Soon it will be moot because some changes have been implemented; I think that's where the rubber meets the road because the Krafts aren't putting up with mediocrity forever..3. I've never heard him take the blame for his drafting.
4. That would be refreshing.

Okay even if he just played poorly he just forgot how to run the offense? I have no idea what you're getting at.Aaaah, the injury defense. I know it well.
Brady didn't have to leverage teams with a possible return to New England. Plus, anyone who was paying attention knew the moment Brady and NE agreed to the no franchise clause that he was not resigning with NE after the 2019 season. Prior to that last contract with the bogus two years and the no franchise clause, Brady talked openly about wanting to sign with NE and play until age 45. It was Belichick who didn't want to commit to anything beyond one season at a time so he left Brady with no choice but to look for another commitment from another team.Meh. Tom said he wants to stay here. Why on earth would he limit his options in FA by saying he wouldn't?
Kraft said he wanted Tom here.
Curran says Belichick preferred Tom to be QB for the NEP in 2020.
Gotta read between the lines dude.
So you are passing judgement BB can't win w/o Tom after 10 months? Really?
Tom leaves to go to a team with a loaded roster and BB is rebuilding a old roster with cap problems...Gee thats an equal comparison
Yeah I know...I'll therefore settle for "I have to do a better job drafting..."Calling out your players as incapable of playing is bad coaching. Really bad. And you know this.
Of course Tom used the NEP for leverage. He publicly left the door open. Curran reported it.Brady didn't have to leverage teams with a possible return to New England. I'm sure Kraft wanted Brady to finish out his career in NE but he ultimately let Belichick have his way. Where I fault Kraft was his whining for Brady to retire instead of signing elsewhere... that was some pretty weak bullsh*t from Kraft.
You cite Curran, he's been annihilating Belichick for not locking up Brady. And it means nothing to say Belichick wanted Brady to stay because Belichick as usual wanted it entirely his way... one year commitments with incentives, etc. Mr. Stats Are For Losers basing the contract of the greatest player to ever play the game on Stats... hypocrite, we can add that to Bill's résumé.
Belichick's not winning without Brady spans 8 full seasons, not just one. He's 0-8 in divisions without Brady and 17-1 with Brady. After three road wins, two against the #2 and #1 seeds, Brady's made it to a Super Bowl year one without Belichick. The "loaded roster" was 7-9 just last season with another quarterback so clearly Brady's the difference between winning and losing. Ask Bill, who by the way only has himself to blame for his disheveled roster.
Yeah I know...I'll therefore settle for "I have to do a better job drafting..."
Wrong.

BB did not keep Tom on a string because of stats. It was because of money, cap hit and age.
Are you really brining up BB's time in CLE and using that to make your case for Brady v BB? Really? With a loaded roster BB went 11-5 without Tom in 2008....which means absolutely nothing now.
