Some Rams fans are justifying the trade because its the win now approach and will take advantage of a young Aaron Donald.

Yeah, like Stafford took advantage of Ndamukong Suhs and Calvin Johnsons careers.

I'll give the Rams this though. They have a good coach. Something Stafford never had in Detroit.

If the ask is #15 I wouldn’t say no.

I don't think they can. They just made Goff's trade value look like it is nothing by getting this deal. When they just made Goff look like a throw in with trade or that the Rams gave up more than they had to so they could get Goff's salary off their hands, what can they seriously ask for? And Goff has a lot of guaranteed money left on his deal that a team has to eat.

I’m going to go ahead and guess that the potential out after 2021 with $0 dead cap played more of a role in this. Because, otherwise, why wouldn’t you just get Watson? His cap hit in 2021 is less than Stafford’s, but then goes up to $40+M after that. Either way, the capital they had to give up was absurd. I wish teams the best of luck now in trying to get Watson. This trade just set the bar, and you can thank Snead. Just a completely brain dead decision.

I refuse to believe the NFL is like the NBA. Watson can waste a prime year of his career and derail his HOF career by missing a whole year sitting out if Caserio holds strong.
