at this point rooting for TB is a no brainer.......but i don't think all the rooting in the world is going to change the outcome

I want Tommy to win his 7th ring. Too bad it won't be against Buffalo, but I'll take a win over those punks in KC. I don't even mind Mahomes (he's the real deal, d%#*!@t) or Andy Reid too much (seems humble, but his team is full of punks), but has there ever been another group so full of arrogant cheap shot artists? I hope Brady and the Bucs are ready for it.

Ratings wise, none of these markets are great. NFL's probably hoping for KC/TB... KC pulls in the middle of the country, and TB pulls in Tampa, New England, and all the Brady lovers/haters across the fruited plain.

That's right. This isn't like old TV where people were at the mercy of what networks regionally. People can follow any team now and see all the games. It's a national/global game.

Any Patriots fan who is not rooting for Tom and Gronk have a problem.
... and what problem is that? Is it a must that all Patriot fans root for those two. I'll save my rooting for the Patriots and THEIR players. I'll do that at all times as I have since their inception in 1960. Yes I have a few years on me!!!

I'll rephrase. Rooting and indifference are fine.

Rooting for failure indicates a problem

Do you ever hope that any team loses? That's rooting for failure!!! How about KC, Buffalo, Green Bay. Did you hope they lose/lost? Same thing. It's your problem not mine.

Please.

You don't root against the Jets, Steelers and Ravens?

Rooting for the Bucs, but sadly think they will get be defeated.

This is an easy one.

Option 1: The greatest player in our teams history gets a 7th on another team and has a feather in his cap and deligitimizes any takes about him as a system QB who needed Belichick and he goes down for the rest of our lives as the undisputed GOAT and we still own that because his time in NE will always be at the forefront.

Option 2: Two years since our last Super Bowl a new dynasty not names New England starts it's run.

Isn't that hard for me. I'd rather the player I spent 20 years rooting for enhance his legend than having the new hot team take our crown while we aren't even at full strength to defend it.

Difference is Mahomes was drafted and developed by KC. Lebron Brady jumped to a team already loaded so he win. No loyalty to team that developed him. Where will he move to if he doesn't't win in TBAY? Will he jump to another team ala Lebron James type moves?
Here's the difference. Lebron left even though Cleveland could grant him the biggest contract because he wanted to be part of a Super Team and he humiliated them on national television by introducing his new girlfriend... I mean team... to the entire world while Cleveland was holding out hope. He also did not win a single thing Cleveland when he left. It was very clearly a "I'm leaving to chase rangs with some stars in Miami suckas".

Brady played pretty much 95% of his career in New England and then we weren't going to give him any type of respectable contract and he took a pass on it. He got as good or better a deal in Tampa. He also made us tied for winningest franchise in NFL history when we lacked a single Super Bowl before he got there. He did more than we ever asked and we didn't make a big play to keep him. So when he was free. Yes he picked the best situation. As was his right.

They don't have the D to handle Mahomes, Kelse, Hill and Fat Andy's playcalling but I do think the Bucs will make it interesting.

It was Lebron James right also. So what. Lebron Brady did the same thing.

It definitley was but there are differences between the two.

1. We were not breaking the bank for Brady and allegedly lowballed him on an already team friendly deal. Lebron was going to get the most money in Cleveland.

2. Brady's departure was essentially him having a meeting with Kraft and telling him, then thanking New England for all the years in an instagram post, then announcing he signed with the Bucaneers on instagram. Lebron hosted a show where he kept his home town team in suspense praying he would come back and then dumped them in front of the whole world and went to the sexy Miami team and then did the lamest runway show with fireworks where they did the "not 1 ring, not 2 rings, not 3 rings, not 4 rings" ****.

3. Brady left having already given his original franchise more than they could ask for. Lebron left never getting it done in Cleveland and going somewhere else to win because he didn't think he could get past the Celtics by himself.

Chiefs offensive line is brutalized and the Bucs defensive front is amazing. The way for them to win is pressure Mahomes so he isn't getting clean passes off. Same as Giants in 07. Beat up Mahomes so he can't make the connections frequently and establish a solid run game. Chiefs also don't have great corners. Good safety's but the corners are nothing special. It will be interesting.

I agree about Tom but not Gronk. I don't like the way he delayed his decision to quit until after the Pats had a chance to replace him with a FA.

He spent 19 years with us. He was a free agent. He was loyal, you have a weird definition of loyalty.
I wonder what he thinks of Bill's resignation after one day as the Jete HC?

He was playing a contract game...just like the Pats were with him.
