Cam expected to start on MNF

Probably not re Cam.

I like those guys you mentioned though. Even though neither team has much to play for (Bills maybe a bit more) I’d like to think the Patriots are better than giving up 257 yards rushing to a lousy rush team. Looking for improvement there against a good running team.
I can see Allen throwing the ball all over this D. It might be a rough one.

Cool. Not even sure that is correct but the original poster said the Patriots didn’t have a 2nd round draft pick which is untrue. The NFL took away a 3rd.
We should have 3 compensatory picks for Brady Van Noy and Collins

Can't wait to see more rugby style-Cam iso plays if they get in the redzone.
98 hours and counting.
The anticipation is unbearable.
I'm thinking a Cam Showcase to open up the game.....a couple QB sneaks to the right followed by a QB sneak up the middle....
....then let Bailey pin the Bills inside their 30.

being a man of your word is best for the football team
So does that mean that everybody in the building knows what word Bill might or might not have given Cant? And why in the world should he have given him his word that as long as Cant is active he is the starter anyway? IMO whatever little not-so-secret-apparently agreement those two had is Null & Void the moment they were eliminated from PO contention.

Maybe he told Cam he could start the entire season? I saw that point brought up here once.

BB can override the contact and pay Cam his incentives. He doesn't have to put him out there. That would be solid.

Bill is letting Cam get through the growing pains of being in a new system/offense because he'll likely be here next year.

Some folks are still in the anger/denial stage of this.
As someone noted, the last time he did that, with Lawrence Guy, it required renegotiating his contract—a simple thing when the player is still under contract, but not when the player is on a one-year deal.

And in any case, he's not saying "Cam is our quarterback" the way he was a few weeks ago.

Do you think its possible (said this once) he told Cam he could start the entire season?

Oh he'll be back, the contract will be too good to pass up. Whether he's a long term starter is a diff conversation
It isn't Any conversation at all...Cant is no longer an NFL starter on any team that doesn't want to suck.

6-10 will result in a nice draft position and I am rooting hard for it.

Belichick disagrees with you every week he decides to start Newton. Now.. pause for a second before you get angry at me for simply providing you the facts here.

Belichick feels out of the 3 qbs he has..Cam is the only worthy starter. That is fact. Even after 14 games - with no postseason left to play for from the looks of it...he's starting Newton.

These are just facts. I'll let you figure out why. Is because of a pinky promise? Is it because of a couple hundred thousand dollars ? Is it because Cam was quiet despite having the worst WR and TE group in the NFL? You tell it. I'm sick of literally just repeating what Belichick is putting out there and hearing about his t-shirts and social media font.

No he's saying..I'm done answering that question. You can take it and run with it. It could mean "it's Newton...and it's going to be Newton" or it can mean "I'm not telling you".

Almost anything's possible.

It wouldn't surprise me if he said "As long as you do X, Y, and Z, you're the starter."
No chance. He will never promise playing time in advance.
