-We stop being every team's Super Bowl during the regular season.
Pats start Stidham and I think i can make it 80%.
Lol - you beat me to it.Sign Newton to a 3 year deal. Trade Edelman for a conditional 7th rounder. Give Harry and Sony more snaps.
Do that and I think we can take down whatever hosting company Ian is using.
Ian's 20 year run is over, straight from the head honcho himself.I remember the days when I would get excited to have 2-3 people on my cheesy "Ian's Patriots Homepage" back in 1997. Never imagined back then that I'd be sitting here 20+ years later chatting with all of you after witnessing 6 championships, 9 Super Bowl appearances, and having enjoyed all of it with some of the coolest people I've ever met. I don't think we'll be as lucky for the next 20, but it'll definitely be fun to see how it goes
It's funny you say that. Looking back, the signing of Roosevelt Colvin took this place down for three days, that was a big event back then. The Seymour trade was also a tough one, although I think that was only half a day. But those are definitely the two that come to mind in terms of big unforeseen events taking this place down for any extended period.Sign Newton to a 3 year deal. LOL, God-willing, I'm only 44 so I'm hopeful we'll still have plenty of years together.Ian's 20 year run is over, straight from the head honcho himself.
Given the pandemic and the fact Brady isn't here anymore, I wonder what attendance will be like there next year and in the coming years, especially if it takes a year or two to build another roster. As we've seen, people are fickle and tend to have short attention spans, with a fair amount of people already tuning out the league this year, along with people's Sunday routines blown up with not being able to go to the games. Makes me wonder how it might start to affect things there.I've never rooted for the Pats to lose but there are some silver linings to us returning to being merely human.

The downside is that after the 20 years some people will not be able to lose gracefully. A wholly unique problem in our country.

Although I think you're right, I think ticket availability will obviously improve and hopefully, more people will at least have access to them at face value. Some of the bigger games in recent years have been crazy expensive, so it would be nice for them to be more affordable for people who want to take in a game but don't want to pay a small fortune just to get in.
And I agree, it's a lot easier to get to an AFC Championship if you're a team people aren't expecting to be there and everyone isn't gunning for you. Remember the Jags game in 1996/97 when the league had to completely switch gears because they didn't expect to be in New England for the AFC Championship? Or back in 2001/02 when the Steelers thought they were going to the Super Bowl? Being the underdog had its moments
