Jakobi Meyers game ball: 169 yards , 12 catches on 14 targets

In week two Cam completed eight passes to Edelman, eight to Harry, six to Byrd, five to RB's, two to Izzo and one to Meyers for 397 yards. If he were a consistently good passer, they would a better team right now. He's not, never has been, but maybe he's improving slightly in this system.

BTW Jakobi was good last year as well, he got screamed at in Cleveland after they acquired Sanu and was benched for the next two games. All he did prior to that was catch 87% of his targets including a stretch of nine straight targets vs the Giants and Jets. The following game Sanu got hurt returning punts, a job he was ill equipped for but they had to IR Gunner to fit Sanu on the roster. When Jakobi was asked to come back he played tentative, scared, dropped balls he easily caught before. He has a fresh start this year with a new QB, he's off the injured list and getting an opportunity... good for him.

Not surprisingly Byrd played better tonight also catching 5 passes for 65 yards including a 31 yarder, and the RB's caught 9 passes... odd coincidence that when Cam passes better, the weapons "talent" magically returns. I don't doubt if Harry played tonight he would also have improved stats. Hopefully he'll be back next week. Unfortunately they're playing the Ravens, not the Jets or Seahawks again.

I like his quickness and does not accept going down without picking up more yards. He had a great game. He story and game reminds me of Victor Cruz.
Well, he reminded Tompa Boy last season of Chad Jackson because he was part of Mr. Yoko Ono's "How do you expect me to win with this crap?" rhetoric.

He looked like he could get open last year on the few times he was on the field even when Brady didn't look his way. Tonight he looked exactly like how he looked in last year's preseason.

I don't see why McD didn't have him playing more snaps instead of Harry getting all the snaps. This is why i'm hesitant to call our new TEs busts because they just haven't been given the opportunity.

Really good route runner, good feel for timing and leverage.

If the guy can improve a bit physically, put on a bit of good weight and get a half-step more explosive, he could be a darn good slot for a long time in this league.

He's already proven he should the long term starter. Very very few WRs produced what he just did, it's a list of basically Patriot hall of fame WRs. Can't believe he was rotting on the bench by McDaniels for so long

.

you are wrong with your percentage...I don't think it's quantifiable....maybe 12 figures. Harry is a distant memory
McDaniels is so good that he can actually design plays that find space for this bunch of misfits. The offense is all McDaniels. There is absolutely no evidence that he was playing favorites with one guy over the other. More than likely all the coaches, or just BB, needed to see what they had in their former #1 pick.

Put it this way: if the Bucs OCs weren't absolutely idiotic, they'd use all that talent to spread the field instead of running the same weak stuff over and over. McDaniels would be brilliant there and most anywhere.
You just mean former as in last year and not suggesting anything we don’t know right, right?
