Patriots trade for dolphins Isaiah Ford [released 12/5]

Tweet said he's been coming on lately.

Last 3 games:

2 rec, 23 yds
0 rec, 0 yds
1 rec, 0 yds

But he's basically free, so whatever. The last time the Pats traded for a Dolphins' slot receiver, it worked out pretty well. Of course then, they had TB12 throwing to him....
We normally spend first rounds picks for production like that.

So, narrowed down to a personnel exec from either the bills or jets. 50% chance whoever said that is blind and drunk.

Seriously, jest front office has no room to talk and the bildos not like they they scout and develop WRs, just look at their WR corp. I don't think they have a WR they drafted or signed after the draft in UDFA on their roster right now

So an exec in the division does not care for Ford.

What exec in this division other than Belichick has any credibility?

The Bills, Dolphins, & Jets have been cellar dwellers for years.

Buffalo is improved, but we still almost beat them during our rebuilding year.

For what purpose? To what? Make the playoffs and get bounce round 1? Stupid.
So now making the playoffs is no good but you want to tell 53 guys who could make the playoffs to lose on purpose and you think that makes them a better team in the future? Have you ever played an organized team sport?

A personal executive who doesn’t notice a starting slot receiver in his own division should not admit that he sucks at his job.

Not pro nope. When you are young and playing sports there is no draft. There is nothing. Recruiting is all there is and winning solves that. When you have the non debatable best QB prospect in a very, very long time you do what you can do get him. If you said hey guys, we just aren't good enough so we are doing what's best of the team going forward. That isn't making the first round and getting a gate. No, rest up in the off-season and come back ready to go because this TEAM will be in better shape next year.

You think the Colts fans have 2 bleeps about losing in '11? I don't. They focused on Luck, full well knowing he was going to be a great player. And he was, until bad coaching got him hurt.

This probably means Edelman is done for either the season or for more than 3 games. I assumed that would be the case after reading his knee was bone on bone. With 4.6 speed, Ford seems to fit right in with the rest of our “wide receivers.”

What fans think doesn’t matter.
These are professional athletes with short careers putting take out there every week that will determine their future. Tell them to quit and los on purpose and you have no team. The colts fired the coach and gm. They didn’t win shot with luck.

How does Mr Do Your Job, Mr No Days Off tell players to los on purpose and have any credibility? Why would you want anyone in the organization that would go along with throwing games?

Telling professional players they sick and need to throw games so you can cheat your way to drafting some college kid who is going to save you is a sure failure. Any free agent will leave in a heartbeat and no new free agents will come here.
Trevor Lawrence would be surrounded by a crap team and end up being David carr, and belichick would be fired.

I’m stunned we never ran this guy through a try out. Slow and practice squad fodder the past few years.

Michael Jackson was also acquired for a conditional 2022 7th, so I'm guessing it's the 6th if the 7th goes to the Lions for Jackson (extremely unlikely), and otherwise is just the 7th.

This reminds me of classic George Carlin line:

I never ****ed a ten but one night I ****ed 5 twos and that ought to count.

Hard to see a downside. Ford is on the team, an effective use of a 7th round pick two years from now. One drop credited to him in 65 career targets. 24 years old and would be cheap to retain if he performs. No expectation of Ford being the next Jabar Gaffney, much less Welker, but would rather he and Zuber get playing time than Gunner. One can be frustrated with the poor group of receivers the team has assembled and also consider this a decent use of a very low value resource.

Second Isaiah.
