OT: Official 2020 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Not sure if anyone mentioned how awful the refs were last night. They handed the Bears that game with so many missed calls and then made up calls on Tampa. What an awful game all around. Tough to play on the short week on the road. Good thing Tampa has the mini-bye before GB comes in.

Scotty Miller was supposed to be TB12's next Welker/Edelman but it seems he has disappeared. Maybe he's on Brady's "I don't trust him" list.

I dont even think Miller was active for that game, their entire offense was injured.. they had injured guys on the active gameday roster for that game, like Fournette who didnt get a single snap if i recall

Buccs offense is decimated with injuries right now at all the skill positions except their starting RB

You're wasting your time with that poster. He wouldn't even be in this thread had the Tom and the Bucs won the game.

Yea, its really sad and pathetic to watch people come to troll on Brady after what he has done for this region over 20 years

Pretty disgusting in my opinion

Almost like sacks are a QB stat

Yep, sacks come in all shapes and sizes. Is their some way to categorize them?
The only sack that a QB has no control over is when defenders come in untouched. We saw a few of those in last night's game.
Coverage sacks shouldn't happen because the QB has time to get rid of the ball.
The same goes when the rush is a little delayed.
Sacks can also happen when QB's try to get away or move in the pocket but get caught. It could be because of the coverage or the QB's inability to recognize the play.
Then there's the sack and strip sack that happen because the QB has no idea there's a rush about to reach him. I call that one a Bledsoe but it may be renamed a Trubisky.
Looking back on it now, one of the best things about Brady was how well he avoided sacks and moved in the pocket for such a slow runner.

Khalil Mack abused that OL last night. A guy like that Belichick usually has had a plan to negate or minimize.

Arians has no plan. Just 5 OL and maybe a TE and dropback and chuck it.

Yea i was flabbergasted by that.. he kept leaving his tackles out on an island against Mack who is one of the most elite, disruptive players in the league

I wasnt paying attention the entire game, but i didnt see them bringing in a TE , FB or RB to help chip Mack, or any double teams from the OL... and they paid for it

It's the nature of people, generally speaking. That's why I do things for people if I just want to, not because I'm expecting anything in return.

So pathetic.

Before I start reading I’m sure a couple of bums are acting like they won the lottery because Brady and the injured squad lost tonight
Injuries? Last year the excuse was lack of playmakers, not injuries though the reason TB had no playmakers was due to injuries (especially when including Gronk who "retired" due to injuries and AB's injured "brain")

and Brady didn't audible for more blockers.
Bucs are the 3rd most penalized team in the entire league.

Significant differences between good coaching and casual coaching.

.

I agree it was a mistake to come back (said it would be even before he came back), but it has less to sooo with Arians. Gronk simply isn't good anymore. His body broke down. He lost his explosiveness and the extra gear he had to outrun LB's. He's really just a blocker now.
In 2018 Gronk was banged up and he won a Super Bowl. He made clutch plays in that game.

The Pats are much better at using Gronk in his golden years.

Do you really think Brady gives 2 schitts about anything people here say about him? Do you think he cares one iota about his fans? Brady doesn't care, so why would anyone put energy into "defending his honor" on a freaking internet message board? ESPECIALLY since he's not on the Pats anymore. In Boston we EXPECT our athletes to give 110% and to be full tilt full time. Bergeron, Bird...Brady quit last year and his play showed

I guess the same reason people put energy into trashing him. Your argument can easily go both ways.

I think the Bucs are still going to win around 10 or 11 games and have a good year. and they'll be able to defeat inferior teams with just their talent alone. I think we've seen in their two losses that their coaching is inferior and they are an undisciplined team that leads the league in penalties. That has to be driving Brady crazy!!

So Brady did shake Herbert's hand the week before after he had a great game. There goes the pandemic excuse.

I know it was a tough loss but he should have done the same with Foles on the field both at the Super Bowl and last night. I mean Foles was looking for him. Not doing that is the look of being a poor sport.

Unfortunately this is probably one reason why Brady is not liked or respected nearly as much by the general NFL fan compared to other NFL greats.

Agreed...also, provided people get healthy and they don't lose any more important players to season ending stuff.

It's really not a good look, Brady repeatedly being a sore loser and not shaking QB's hands after he loses. It was kind of masked by the rest of his positive image while on the Patriots.

Yea admittedly Brady has never been a graceful loser.. but was it Lombardi who said "Show me a good loser, and I'll show you a loser"

Definitely not a good look tho

#1 team in the NFL in penalties = Bucs

#32 ranked = Patriots

BB only won because of Brady...

That Bucs team is not good. It should be better with all that talent. Undisciplined. Poor coaching. Injuries. I expect them to get smoked by Green Bay.
