I was always a pro Arians guy as I thought he had an impressive resume developing young QB's and even getting the best out of Carson Palmer but after following him more closely since he got to Tampa I have been far from impressed. He knew Jameis was a turn over machine but didn't seem to do anything to try and reign him and and just let him keep slinging it. Now he has Brady who is a methodical QB who's game hinges on quick timing throws and Arians wants him lobbing bombs down field to Evans on every play. At least he had the excuse that he inherited Jameis but one has to assume he was fully on board with bring Brady in and had 20 years worth of film to see what kind of passing game made Brady so successful. So what does he do? Have him run an offense that doesn't suit him. "Do what we do" coaches don't usually have a ton of success, Pete Carrol aside, so you would think Arians, Leftwich, and Brady would come together and find a happy medium which it looked like may have been happening up until last night. After what I have seen of Arians I think he may be too hard headed and arrogant to change his ways at this point.I really thought after the Chargers game that the staff was merging the two styles, but I see they went back to the vertical stuff last night. That's why Arians is a stupid coach... he just does what he does, no adjustments.
