Don’t forget about the ones which don’t make national news.... the couple gunned down visiting their son’s gravesite.... or the couple who barely cling to life after being assaulted by a man with a machete in Tennessee...

Oh wait... those are examples of the far, far more prevalent black-on-white crime, so I guess neither you nor the national media cares about that....

As you say, the less glaring they are, the more frequently they happen. I guess that’s why white-on-black crimes make the national news every single time.

that's what a big....... no, wait......a 'principled conservative' would say

you keeping score?

Why so angry? For probably the first time ever, I am 100% agreeing with something you said:

The less glaring they are, the more frequently they happen.

you're not agreeing with anything......I'm not angry.....why you so full of crap?

I am absolutely agreeing with your statement that "The less glaring they are, the more frequently they happen."

Why this upsets you so much and led you to throw out your usual routine of ad hominem attacks is a complete mystery.

I absolutely did not. I dismissed the comments of someone who made them by stating a partisan bias and backed it up with a source that was partisan.
That is not an ad hominem attack it is noting an admitted bias exists backed up by a source with a bias.

You've still not demonstrated that the article is partisan. Moreover, partisan is not synonymous with untrue. It's just attacking the messenger to avoid the point, i.e., an ad hom.

Threads like this bring out the crazies, I love it. Talk or dissect football? Game plans and plays? Nope ... but I'll argue for 40 pages letting everyone know I'm a loser bigot who needs a safe space for the tiniest of change. You couldn't breakdown the simplest of plays but are screaming from the mountain tops that the current landscape is fine.

it's obviously not the only thing that's a complete mystery to you.....you are what you are......if you're a bigot, I didn't make you one

Did I say partisan was synonymous with untrue or are you building a row of strawmen.
I said the poster stated that his view was partisan and then backed it up with a partisan article. I did not attack the messenger at all. I DISMISSED the value of the argument of someone admittedly taking a partisan side, and back in it up with a partisan OPINION.

My god his comment was “the right doesn’t care about democracy” and he backed it up with a liberal criticizing conservatives. Are you daft?

So disagreeing with or dismissing a comment saying “Obama is a criminal” and backed up by quoting Trump would qualify as an ad hominem attack to you?

Dude you got this one wrong have enough integrity to just admit it and move on. He’ll just moving on would be a big step for you.

the right doesn't care about democracy....don't have to look far, just their dog whistle

More projecting there, Archer.

OK, so you admit it.

My god his comment was “the right doesn’t care about democracy” and he backed it up with a liberal criticizing conservatives. Are you daft?

OK, so you didn't read the article, either.

If you had, you would have known that it was titled "America’s most gerrymandered congressional districts," filed under the economic policy section of the Washington Post, and written by Chris Ingraham, the Post's data reporter.

Dude you got this one wrong have enough integrity to just admit it and move on.

RIP irony.

Most qualified people don’t want a handout. It’s not like any NFL coaches are poor. As a matter of fact, most position coaches are highly paid.

No salary cap for them.

Actually, yes it does...Then maybe by typing an answer you read it and realize how wrong-headed the entire concept of reparations/quotas really is...
No one is talking about quotas or reparations except those projecting Capt.

The process and system is obviously broken. Broken to tune of what, 5-6 combined HC/GM when the league is made up of 70% blacks.

You don't think they want to be coaches and GMs too? They're obviously qualified but getting purposely shut out. That's evident to any objective person.

The proposal was bad but the reality - the problem is worse. We're talking about a few slots in the 3rd round vs people being ignored bc of their race. Yea, that's a lot worse than picking 83 as opposed to 80 or we.

I don't see anyone saying it's a great idea but rather ... We have a big problem here that hasn't and isn't getting fixed by relying on what we've been doing.

Back to original reply ... This really needed to be explained to you?? Blacks obviously want to HC, GM. Obviously are qualified and obviously being ignored. If they weren't we'd see something that better reflects reality.

Everybody on earth is being discriminated against routinely. That doesn't mean anything. Why do some minority groups significantly outperform the majority, while others blame the majority for their plight?

That's a good question actually. You should look into it instead of using it as some kind of reason of proof.

Not a sucker. If you truly help, good for you, but it sounds like you're wanting society (the collective you) to be forced to fix disparities simply because disparities exist. It seems self-evident to me that before that is done, an honest discussion should take place on the current disparities. Specifically we should know how much of the imbalance is the result of self-inflicted cultural realities that are in direct conflict with progress vs how much of the "imbalance" is due to unseen evil forces.

I remember having a discussion 15 years ago with a group of people and I asked them the same type of question. I mentioned that 75% of the minority kids being born here were coming in without fathers. One woman started to dispute my number and when I told her it was real she broke down crying at my insensitivity.

Yes because making sure voters are actually the people voting isn’t democracy

OK, so you admit it.
I never said otherwise, I said it was not an ad hominem attack.

OK, so you didn't read the article, either.

Of course I did

RIP irony.
No irony at all. I readily admit when I am wrong.

I never said otherwise, I said it was not an ad hominem attack.

Of course it was. You erroneously labeled his article as something it wasn't, so you could dismiss it rather than respond with substance. Which is fine, I certainly don't respond to every source that's presented. Just don't be a hypocrite and accuse others of the same behavior you're guilty of yourself.

No irony at all. I readily admit when I am wrong.

Good one, Andy.
