Let’s see...

• Took a somewhat lesser-known DB in the second round that made many go “who???”
• Drafted a defensive player who played for Nick Saban
• Traded out of the first round
• Traded up a bunch of times in basically every other round
• Double-dipped at a position of need three times (TE, OLB, G)
• Drafted a specialist in the fifth round
• Has not yet taken the one position all the analysts expected (QB)

Oh yeah, it’s a Bill Belichick draft all right. All that’s left is for him to take Malcolm Perry from Navy in the 7th to really put the icing on the cake.

Belichick likes to have a viable replacement for players in contract years in order to gain leverage in negotiations.

I too have been on this forum for many years. I never flame anyone, and understand that very few of us know anything about any of the rest of us, and thus flaming says more about who does it than who it is directed to. Try to enjoy the comraderie and keep yourself open to the opinions that don’t align with yours. You may find yourself enjoying being a Pats fan even more!

We always do well there.
It’s like BB isn’t taking WRS because he thinks it’s funny to play with our emotions.
He’s too gun shy after Harry burned him.

Almost as if he thinks the remaining guys aren't worth throwing the picks on and he can pick up some decent guys in UFDA.

Given the number of positions we needed to fill, I really don't see the problem with the business we've done this draft.

Yes last year was annoying as hell with nobody getting open but without blowing our first 2/3 picks on WR and rendering Meyers, Harry and co complete busts already then we weren't going to get a star anyway. Nevermind that people have been moaning for a TE since Gronk left, we got two new ones and hopefully will see a big improvement there this year, WR next year.
